In the Polycom user guide for VVX business IP phones, it mentions using a Polycom wifi wireless network adapter to connect to a wireless network. Can any generic USB wifi adapter be used with the VVX 450 office phone, or do I actually need an adapter from Polycom? I currently have a Netgear AC600 Dual Band adapter. If this brand of adapter will work, how do I set it up for use with my phone? In the office phone user guide, it says to insert the wifi adapter (while the phone is on) and select Start. When I insert my Netgear wifi adapter, nothing happens. Does this mean that only the Polycom wifi adapter is compatible with my office phone?
