Currently none of the phones on your extension can show presence. Phones with this capability can be purchased from RingCentral by clicking Add Phone.

@Mary-Community_Moderator
created new app API
created two users with the extension 101 and 102
Went to enable presence and getting this error/notification all though user is assigned to use a softphone.
When I login to softphone I don't see display icon and when I click on settings I don't see HUD controls and I believe it's something has to do with the phone type.
Based on your manual it should work. https://support.ringcentral.com/article/ringcentral-phone-heads-up-display-enable-set-up.html What phone should I use?
Please Advice.

I believe that this is a newly created sandbox account. And the RingCentral soft phone is no longer an option for create a digital line (a phone device) anymore. Instead, it lets you choose either an existing SIP phone or the RingCentral app.

Can you quickly check by login the RingCentral app for sandbox at https://app.devtest.ringcentral.com and check the presence status under the user profile.

Developer sandbox tools

Using the RingCentral Phone for Desktop, you can dial or receive test calls, send and receive test SMS or Fax messages in your sandbox environment.

Download RingCentral Phone for Desktop:
