Why does the RingCentral app need delete permission when connecting to Google?

I just went to add in the Google integration in the RC app, and the permission request sheet is a bit alarming. Why does it need delete access to my contacts and calendars? Thanks

This is to give permission to the RingCentral app to access your contacts and calendars to delete canceled meeting invitations and contacts saved on the app, which is synced to your Google.

In addition to this, we will only delete data with the customer performing the action. We also notify the customer when they delete a contact, which will also delete in Google. Calendar data is a one-way sync. We only request calendar data and never delete it. But when a customer connects both calendar and contacts, it shows the two-way sync permission due to contacts.
