Mitel 6900 phones should auto-dial a number

We recently migrated from Mitel to RingCentral. We brought our Mitel 6900 phones with us. We used to be able to just dial a number on the phone and it would dial. Now we need to click the Dial softkey. It would be great to have this ability back.

Ken... have you tried going into the Settings menu on the phone, selecting the "Dialing" option, and then selecting "Live Dialpad" on the next screen, and finally toggling the setting from Off to On? The changed allowed me to dial a 10 digit number on the keypad and then the call would be placed (without having to press the Dial softkey).

I'm not familiar with the 6900 series, but most phones will either auto dial the # after 3-5 seconds, or after the receiver is picked up. So, dial the ten digit number and then lift up the handset/receiver and it will dial the number.

Thanks for replying. However, that's not the case with these phones. We have to press the Dial softkey or the call will sit there forever.
