Internal Contacts vs Company Directory

Are there any differences between the Internal Contacts and Company directory. From the API response, they look exactly the same.

Under the API reference, Internal Contacts is a category and Get Company Directory is the API. Where did you see the Internal Contacts API? Can you post the link to each of the API you found?
