Hi, I've noticed this twice now that I will be looking for an old text, and it will be gone, and so will every text from a certain date and back. Are they going into an archive somewhere? Is there a way to make this stop? Its vital to have records of conversations via text as most of our communication is done via text, and when they disappear without notice, its incredibly disruptive. Can anyone help? :)
The limitation of SMS is 5,000 messages, per user, per folder (Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Deleted). There is no limit as it relates to time on our servers. You may have hit the 5,000 message limit in one or more of your folders, and the oldest messages are being deleted as new ones come in. You must set up a backup/archive tool to retain all messages indefinitely. We suggest using the RingCentral Archiver.
