Polycom IP 6000s locking up

Hello there!

We have about 10 Polycom IP 6000s in our office, the majority of them seem to be locking up once a week or so. Rebooting them seems to bring them back, but not a good situation when staff are running into meetings. They're all PoE powered by a HP ProCurve 48 port switch.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've experienced this quite a few times. These should set you on the right track:
  • Verify the PoE budget on your switche(s) - are you exceeding the budget? This typically cycles the entire switch when you exceed the PoE budget, but not always. You've likely checked this, but never hurts to verify
  • The IP 5/6/7000 series are notoriously buggy with this type of scenario and not just on RC. This is almost always due to the devices being on unsupported firmware - current supported firmware to verify is 4.0.9.1191
