How do I create a sandbox account for integrating our app with Ring Central?

Once you have authenticated into the Developer Portal ( https://developer.ringcentral.com) you can click on your name/avatar and then click on "Sandbox Accounts" to create your Sandbox Account to begin development.

Once you have done that, continue with the tutorial URL which Brandon shared above.

Visit: https://developer.ringcentral.com and click the "Sign In / Sign Up" button in the top left. Then use your RingCentral user credentials to login to the Developer Portal.

You must be a RingCentral Office customer to access the Developer Portal.

Question: How do I proceed with getting "authenticated into the developer portal"?

Once you singned into developer portal here https://developer.ringcentral.com/

You will be given a sandbox environment as default to create different applications and test APIs there. You can go through the link given above to start with.

Once the application you created pass all the criteria and rules in the sandbox, you can push that to production later

Developer sandbox tools

Using the RingCentral Phone for Desktop, you can dial or receive test calls, send and receive test SMS or Fax messages in your sandbox environment.

Download RingCentral Phone for Desktop:

Tip: switch to the "sandbox mode" before logging in the app:

  • On MacOS: press "fn + command + f2" keys
  • On Windows: press "Ctrl + F2" keys
