Could number of times my outgoing message repeats be placed under my control?

I was puzzled by the fact that about 5 minutes were used per call log for phone calls I did not pick up on. Support indicated this was because my outgoing message was being repeated 3 times, giving caller 3 chances to leave a message. I would prefer this be a setting for me the user to set (to 1 time) for my outgoing message, rather than have RC repeat my outgoing message 3 times. Given all the settings I could configure, I was surprised that this setting (repeat outgoing message 3 x) was hard-wired by RC, and configurable by me.
