Call forwarding sequence not working on Desktop App

In my call handling & forwarding settings I have my desktop & mobile apps set to ring 3 times and then I have the calls being forwarded to a team member. However, when I receive a call it just rings until I manually forward it. What is the trick to making the rules I set in calling handling & forwarding work?
