Unable to Answer Incoming Calls - Android Mobile App

Hello Everyone,We have a small business and only have one deskphone. Then we have a user with an iPhone (me) and a user with an Android who are both using the mobile app. If I am on a call with my iPhone and a RingCentral app call comes through, I am able to answer the RingCentral call. It automatically puts the iPhone call on hold. However, if the Android user is on a personal cell call and he receives a RingCentral app call, he is not able to answer it. Instead, if he clicks "answer" a message pops up stating:"Answer Call: You are currently on an Android phone call. To answer this RingCentral call, please end your Android phone call."Has anyone else had this issue and figured out how to fix it? It is extremely important that we are able to put the personal call on hold and answer the RingCentral call if this happens.I just spent an hour on the phone with RingCentral Customer Support. Our ring central extension is not syncing any calls or texts into our CRM Pipedrive. When we click the sync button it just goes gray and doesn’t sync any data. Can you please advise?

Voicemail Message Length

Over the last week, people calling me can now leave 10 or 15 minute long voice messages if they want. For years, there was a 3 minute time limit and the message would get cut-off, which I prefer. How do I go back to only allowing a 3 minute max voice message?

Power Automate with Postman Collection

Yesterday I exported the below Postman collection and imported it into PowerAutomate as a custom connector, got everything configured in my custom connector and it worked fine. I was able to sign into my account to create a connector to my app, then made multiple successful API calls to/from my tenant. This morning, I checked one of the PowerAutomate flows I had running for an automation I’d like to move off of Python. It started to error out at some point this morning for the API calls, stating "TokenInvalid" "Token not found" "OAU-213" - which is strange since I did not define a token TTL, so it should have defaulted to 7 days. Signing back into my app has resolved this issue, but I would like for it to refresh on its own so that the automation works flawlessly like my Python one did. Is the token TTL still defaulted to 7 days?Also is there anything on the roadmap to integrate with PowerAutomate like you all did with Zapier? I see there was an idea request a while ago which I voted

Blocking Spam Area Code

I am receiving Spam calls from area code 806 and 737 (Texas) Multiple times in a day. They call, goes to my voicemail, and record nothing (leave no message ) but stay silent for 10-15 minutes at a time. This is to my Toll-Free number which then of course is eating up my minutes needlessly since they are just calling to perhaps meet a quota or pretend they are “busy” for their work purposes. I want to block the area codes 737 and 806 as these are not areas that I service anyhow. I do not want to be charged for “exceeding” my minutes when there isn’t even a real conversation or message that is being left. If I cannot block an entire area code (blocking one specific number will not work as they randomly call from another random number just a couple minutes later, but seemingly area codes 806 and 7373 seem compromised), then can I make my voicemail drop a call or stop recording after a minute or two of silence (no message being left) so that my toll free minutes are not being wasted u

Is there an API to disable AI assistant?

Hi there, Now that ringcentral has rolled out AI assistant, is there a way to disable it with an API? I know we have to use a template to override and block the AI, I can’t seem to find anything in the api reference to either disable the API or apply my template that will override and disable the user’s API.

over 2 months of waiting for port over

Ring Central keeps asking the winning compmany the same questions over and over and then rejects them. this has gone on for over 2 months. i will contact the BBB and tell everyone what kind of business you have, the winning number has sent me proof of tevtyyhing Ring Central is doing to keep customres, they just want people to keep paying them. i dont have toimeto go through this 3-4 times a week,

I am receiving calls placed to a number that is not mine.

I am receiving calls placed to a phone number that is not mine. People are dialing a number with the same area code and exchange, but different last 4 number and are reaching me. This is confusing to them - because they think they will be getting someone else. But also confusing to me as to why this is happening. The number the dial is xxx-xxx-5540 and my number is xxx-xxx-1087, so not an easy misdial. Is there a way to uncross the lines?

Need help creating API Request in Zapier to check SMS History

I’m trying to accomplish the following: I want to make an API request that will return to me if a specific phone number has been sent an SMS message over a specific period of time. And if yes, I want it to return to me what that message said.First, is this possible? If not, could I at least see if the number has been texted, and not what the message is?Second, where do I even begin with this? I have been trying to accomplish this automation in Zapier using an “API Request” step. I built an app, and have the Client ID and Secret and everything. It isn’t working. Can someone give me a brief explanation on how I would accomplish this? What are the first steps? How do I obtain the correct “token”? Thank you for any help. Need IVR Extension in Directory

By default, there doesn’t appear to be a way to add an IVR extension to the company directory. Is there a way to get it in there? Here’s my situation: I created a small IVR on extension 44105 for staff to transfer calls into. The IVR lets callers choose between two departments. It works great. However, today the staff manager would like staff to be able to search this IVR by name, rather than enter its number.

Allow only IVR transfers to a user/extension?

New Ringcentral customer! I have a user/extension with a dedicated, real phone number. An outsider can currently directly dial that dedicated 888-XXX-XXXX number and reach the user. However, our workflow never calls for an outsider to directly call that user. Instead, we want customers to call our main company number, work through the IVR menus, and (if appropriate) be transferred to that user by IVR. That number is currently receiving many irritating junk calls.How can we block all external, incoming calls to that number, but still allow IVR transfers to it? I tried to remove the external phone number from the user entirely - but it appears ringcentral requires a user/extension to have a real phone number.Thanks for your help!

Is it possible to add a new contact (a name and number for example) via the API so when a customer signs up there info is automatically added to RingCentral so if and when they call we have their name to show on the screen?

How to remove "+" on eFax attachments?

Hello RC folks,Does anyone know of a setting that will remove the leading plus sign on an attachment upon receiving a fax-to-email document? Our EMR application will not save documents with a “+” in the filename, so we are forced to edit each attachment that comes in, it’s very time consuming.

How do I disable the Google Sign In option completely?

We use SSO, and want to use SSO only. Zoom has the option to include parameters in their application msi package, but recently developed an admin option to disabled facebook and google sign in options. Has RingCentral developed any workarounds or solutions to do this as well?

TCR Registration Process Failure

Does anyone else feel that RingCentral has fallen short in supporting TCR registrations? As a customer for over 10 years, it’s disappointing to see how poorly they’re handling the process. Our registration has been declined more than 10 times, each time with a new issue, instead of addressing everything at once. We’ve already submitted a cancellation request because if we’re paying an annual fee and they can’t provide proper support, what’s the point of staying?

Audio conferencing "this has been an internal error" message

We are heavy users of the RingCentral Audio Conferencing service (267-930-4000, enter Participant or Moderator passcode.) This afternoon, our users started reporting an error: after dialing the bridge number and entering a legitimate Participant code, the caller hears "Access code accepted. This has been an internal error. You will be disconnected. Goodbye."I've opened a ticket with RC support. An engineer responded that they had "reset the conference audio queue, which should help with any issues being experienced", but that has not cleared the issue.Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? If so, any suggestions on how I can get RingCentral to fix it?
