Add MAC Address via API

Hey All, got a few thousand phones to provision zero touch and hoping automate the process by adding mac addresses to unassigned devices via rest API rather than having to add them one by one manually. I can create devices and add to the inventory via the api no but can't see a way to update the MAC Address (called "serial" in the api)?. Can anyone help?

I am not aware of any public API to do this. I am not sure but there might be an internal API to do this, pls submit a dev support ticket and ask for help.
