Duplicate contacts in desktop and mobile app- but not on the web

There are multiple copies of every personal contact I have in the desktop and mobile app. However if I go into personal contacts in my account online, it only has the one contact as you would expect.

The duplicates are driving me nuts, my intention was to delete and then reimport them but now it's clear this isn't going to help as the duplicates are being caused by another variable.

How do I get rid of the duplicates in my desktop and mobile apps? Thanks for your help.

Hey Damian, you could try the Purge Data option - that may help. Otherwise, I would suggest talking with Tech Support and seeing if they can help!
