How do I get a call recording to test to move my API out of sandbox?

I have tried the process of testing outbound calling with the API and was able to answer and hear it was a developer call. Tried going through the menus to leave a message and generate a recording. I need to add Read Call Recording permissions but cannot get to a point where a sandbox account can see a recording to get past the "try API 5X" to graduate.

You can use the soft phone on your desktop in sandbox mode (instruction below) and make a call to a number in your sandbox, click "Record" to record the conversation. Hangup and wait for about 20 seconds, the call recording is available in your sandbox call log for testing with the API.

On Windows: Ctrl + F2
On Mac OS: Fn + Command + F2

You can send me you app client id so I can have a look at the app to see if I can help to waive the requirement too. Strongly, recommend to test on the sandbox though.
