rcapp://r/{phone-number} URL format to dial out with the new RingCentral App not working

According to https://ringcentral-api-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/basics/uri-schemes/,

rcapp://r/{phone-number}

is the url format that will "Launch the RingCentral App, and initiate a phone call to the phone number provided."

As the old RingCentral app will no longer being supported, I tried to set up usage of this url. This format will launch the RingCentral app, however it will not pre-populate the phone number. This is important functionality for our business and this is a large new limitation that previously had been supported.

Is there a technical reason that this is not currently interoperating?

That URL scheme is incorrect. I will ask the team to update it.

Here is the correct URL scheme for dial and call.

rcapp://r/dialer?number=phoneNumber

rcapp://r/call?number=phoneNumber
