I have the permissions setup exactly the RingCentral defined role and it is exclusive to a subsidiary.  This is the error message I receive when trying to connect:  Error while accessing a resource.  Permission violation: The restrictions on your role deny you access to this record.

It appears that your role is currently limited to viewing employee details. Could you kindly provide your role settings with permissions for further investigation? We utilize the employee API to retrieve employee details in order to display the name.


@john-ingebrigtson We have recently updated the NetSuite SuiteApp and our integration to help resolve a lot of the permission challenges users have been experiencing. I hope this latest version will help resolve some of the challenges you have been experienced and lead you better in resolving them. Some key details:

  • A message should appear upon connecting to NetSuite to alert you to any permissions you might be missing. Follow the on-screen instructions and add the necessary permissions to the role you used to connect. 
  • Use the predefined role that is installed for you. 
  • OneWorld license holders need to manually add the Subsidiaries permission to their role.
