Anyone in South Florida having issues with customers being able to call in without dialing "1"

Level 2 suggested I post here. I'm trying to convince myself to keep the RC service. I'm in South Florida with a 305 area code. From my parents house in a neighboring county if I call my RC # without "1" the call get's routed to some random number. From what I low in South Florida you don't need to dial "1" any longer but even if this was the case when I call any other number when "1" is needed then I get a recording to dial 1. Having my calls routed to some random number is unacceptable and I don't know what to do. I have been using this RC # for a year now. Support offered to assist in calling the carrier for my parents (AT&T) but for all I know other carriers are blocking or not delivering RC calls. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi DC, Lots of history and info on Dialing "1" with phone systems,  All of the information I have found dates back to the mid 90's when these changes started taking place and companies like RC we not in full swing.  It is a good practice to just dial the 1 area code and then the number.  People have been doing this for years.

It is not an RC configuration issue, if it was you would not be the only one complaining.  I have hundreds of customers all over the place and I have not heard of an issue.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I don't think RC you or could change this.  it is the way it is.
