Important changes coming to our Developer Sandbox

On October 7, 2024, we began the process of notifying customers via email announcing our intention to eliminate the developer sandbox environment at the end of the year. Trying to get Access Token from JWT in Postman - Error Code OAU-345

I have been trying to get an access token so I can then make a callout via the API. Here is what I have done in Postman:Endpoint: https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/oauth/tokenI have entered my Username and Password both with these being base encoded 64 and not encoded. This time they are not encoded. How to Use RingSense API to get insights

API for the realtime voice bot

Hello!We want to develop a bot that will auto-answer (pick up) the call when it is ringing and will reply smartly when it hears something from the caller.But we can't find the API on how to listen to the call after it's answered and how to reply by some audio to the caller.Could you please help us to find the solution to how exactly to implement this?In WebPhone SDK https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-web-phone it looks like it is possible only to answer the incoming call, but there are no options on how to listen to the answered call or how to reply something back to the user.Also, we found a similar post on the forum where the person was looking for the same API that we need, but it looks like it was not resolved.https://community.ringcentral.com/questions/1535/realtime-voice-bot-with-ringcentral.htmlThanks in advance!

Recording stop after caller is put on park location

I called support and learned this is expected behavior. This is not how other call recording systems work. The call should stop recording for the hold and start back once resumed.

What do I put in "filters" when using the GET or POST search users command?

I am trying to use the get command here: https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/SCIM/scimSearchViaGet2 And it allows a filter "Only support 'userName' or 'email' filter expressions for now" but I'm not sure how to format it because I keep getting a 400 error: { "schemas": [ "urn:ietf:params:scim:api:messages:2.0:Error" ], "status": "400", "scimType": "invalidFilter", "detail": "Only 'userName' or 'emails' fields and operation 'eq' are supported"}How do I enter the filter for an email address? How do I send an SMS on behalf of another extension/phone number?

I am getting the following error when trying to send an SMS from a phone number assigned to a different user in my account. The error message makes mention of the "OutboundSMS" permission, but I do not see that permission in my account. Which NetSuite phone record fields does the Unified CRM search?

When a phone number in NetSuite exists at the customer account level and also as the phone number for 1 or more contacts the integration lists the call as unknown and when trying to log it just spins and stops.  Will sometimes receive a timeout message.  Just wondering how many phone fields this is searching within NetSuite.

Delayed recording of calls is not working - just returns TAS-106

What I’m trying to do is enable call recording 15 seconds after the call starts.I can detect calls via webhooks but to test this I’m only needing to use 3 API’s through my application as below -Only for testing - https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/{my extension id)/active-calls This returns the telephonySessionId of my test call. I then pass in session id into https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions/{sessionid} - which returns the "parties" array so I can get the Id’s. I then POST to https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions/{sessionid}/parties/{partyid}/recordings is meant to turn on the recording for the call but I’m getting the below error. Help Needed with Answering Calls Using REST API (Call-Control Endpoint Not Working)

Hello Devs,I’m working on a project where I need to receive and answer incoming phone calls via an API and handle them with backend AI for real-time responses. Here’s a quick overview of the flow:1. The user initiates a phone call.2. I receive a call notification via webhook — this part is working perfectly.3. I then need to programmatically answer the call using the /restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/~/call-control/{session_id}/answer endpoint.  The issue is with Step 3. Despite successfully receiving the call notification, I'm unable to answer the call through this endpoint. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Verified that I’m using the correct `session_id` from the webhook payload. Confirmed that my access token has the necessary permissions. errorCode":"CMN-101 - Parameter [from] value is invalid. - Callout not working in Developer Console

I keep getting the error : "errorCode":"CMN-101","message":"Parameter [from] value is invalid." from my callout. So I attempted to make the same one in the Developer Console UI and I get the same error.So this leads me to believe that it has something to do with how the from message is configured somewhere but I need some help understanding what I need to do to get a from phone number that I can use for Sending A2P Send SMS Api.I checked the Admin Portal and in the TCR Registration it has the number as a Campaign User and Ready for Use and the title says SMS enabled numbers.Any idea of how I might be able to resolve?Thank you in advanceRobert

Hubspot Extension - Record Save Countdown

Hey All, I have the RingCentral for Hubspot extension and when a call comes in it is automatically saved in Hubspot but it has a 15 second count down and if you don't have the record updated in 15 seconds it autosaves a standard record, meaning we have to go into the hubspot record and update it from there. Is there a way we can change the timer to allow more time to update the record before it autosaves in HubSpot.

Salesforce: Long Delay when using Click to Call/SMS

All of our users are experiencing this problem. After clicking a phone number it takes up to half a minute for the dialog box to offer the option to call or text. Who else has had this issue and resolved it?

Unable to see faxes that were not sent.

I recently conducted a test by sending a fax using the following RingCentral API endpoint:https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/~/message-store.In this instance, I mistakenly used an incorrect fax number. I was expecting to see a "Failed" status for the fax, but I am currently only able to view faxes marked as "Sent." Hi everyone,I’m looking for a comprehensive list of all phone device model names supported by RingCentral. While I know there is a webpage that lists supported models (such as this one https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/certified-supported-deskphones-ringcentral.html), I need the exact model names used by RingCentral API, for example, “Poly CCX700 Business Media Phone” or “Poly Edge E450 IP Phone.”Is there an API that can provide this information, or is there an existing list available that I can use?I’m attaching a screenshot that shows one of these model names as it appears in the UI. Thank you!

Title: 403 Forbidden Error When Supervising Calls with RingCentral SDK

I'm facing an issue with the RingCentral JavaScript SDK and could really use some help understanding what's going wrong.I have a service running on a client’s side, and whenever it receives a call, it creates a new instance of the SDK to make a POST request to supervise the call (monitoring both sides of the audio). This setup works smoothly, and multiple calls happen throughout the day without any issues.However, after about a week of continuous operation, without any changes to tokens or keys, all calls start returning a 403 Forbidden error when trying to make the request. This error occurs on the first call of the day, and the day before, there were no issues like this.It seems like some kind of cache or something within the library might be building up over time. I've tried some troubleshooting, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause. Has anyone else experienced something similar or have any ideas on what might be causing this?Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, So we recently had RC add the A2P feature added to our Phone numbers and when I tested the High Volume Api I was able to send out a text. Admin controls for SMS Campaigns Beta?

I’m testing out the SMS Campaigns app RingCentral SMS Campaigns - Beta would like to chat with others who are using it. Are any admin controls available?  Use case; setting daily or weekly limit on the number of texts my users can send.   We’re on Salesforce and would love to be able to bulk text from a View or otherwise without having to upload a csv, anyone find a way to do this? In testing, I’m only offered the option of sending a campaign from my own number.  Would love to have a support person do this on behalf of the recruiters.  Have you found a way to do this?I’m new here, this looks like an active community, love that!
