Webhook Subscriptions for RingCentral Video Calls

Hi, I reviewed the documentation but couldn’t find any references to webhook subscriptions for Video Calls. We have a need to download RC video recordings and ideally our platform is notified via webhook. We currently use subscriptions for phone calls and that works well.Does anyone know if it’s supported at all? I know the Video APIs are in beta so I’m not sure if the docs are somewhere else or if it’s just not supported.Thanks!

Create Shareable Recording Link

Is it possible to create a link to a recorded meeting from RCV, instead of just sharing to tenant members directly? In Meetings, this was possible, but it would appear this functionality doesn't exist in RCV yet. Thanks!

AI Video Text transcription when using Android

Hello,We are testing the AI Video text transcription from a mobile Android device and cannot find the way of retreiving the text when the video is over. (the text is automaticaly downloaded when using Windows). Thanks

Free Video Call Limits

Playback call in and hear a meeting recording

We are trying to get rid of the several different conference platforms internally. One use case is a playback feature. Several conference services allow people to call in and listen to a recorded call after the fact with a code. Is this possible or on a request somewhere? I know the creator can download and share a recording, but we just want the voice to be played back when calling in at a later time.

Can I join a video meeting with only speakers and no microphone?

Pretty much the title. I have some users that need to join RC meetings, but they’re on desktops that only have speakers and no microphones. They just need to listen to the meetings, it’s sort of a group update kind of thing, but it looks like RC won’t let them join their speakers if they don’t have a mic. Is there any way to enable this apart from them having to dial in?

Changing a meetings Presenter

A user asked me this. I am not sure if we are speaking the same terms, but he asked, “If I initiate a Ring video meeting, can I make someone else the presenter?” I can’t find anything related to this. He did state that you can do this in Teams.

RC Meeting volume is low on bluetooth headphones

Environment - Dell XPS17; Windows 11 Pro; RC Version Desktop:   24.4.2012.12812 Windows (x64) Airpod Pro 2When connecting to a meeting using bluetooth / airpods, volume is low.  Other audio in windows is fine.  Youtube, Sounds in Control Panel, Zoom Meetings; etc - volume level is normal - RC Meetings is low.  RC Meeting Sound Volume 100.

Meeting Recording Delay

My company has a morning meeting everyday that is always recorded on Ring. I do not attend this meeting, but I do listen to the recording as soon as I can. I go into my RingAdmin site and search all meeting recordings but there is always a fairly substantial delay before the meeting recording shows up...like multiple hours. Any idea why there is such a huge delay? The meetings are only about 30 mins so I doubt it has anything to do with downloading size, etc.

Chrome extension no longer able to create new RingCentral Meeting from Google Calendar event.

The Chrome extension used to work wonderfully for creating new RingCentral Meetings from right within Google Calendar, but as of late last week, the option to create a new meeting has simply disappeared - I now only have the option to "Add Google Meet video conferencing".I opened a case with RingCentral support (10754179), and was told that this was a result of a recent update on their end, but was told to post something here as well.I'm running Chrome version 83.0.4103.61, RingCentral Meetings version 19.4.152079.0420, and the RingCentral Chrome extension version 4.2.10 (all the most up-to-date versions that are available to me).Software updates, removing and re-adding the extension, refreshing pages, etc. don't do the trick.

About the free account, the duration of the meeting

I signed up for a ringcentral video pro account today and the website shows the meeting as unlimited, but they actually disconnect automatically after 50 minutes or so. I'm wondering if there is no time limit on meetings initiated by accounts registered before 2022?

Poly Studio x52 RingCentral Rooms

Recently set up Poly Studio x52, the device works great for a few days and then the mic and camera go offline. RingCentral app doesn't see the mic or camera on Admin portal. I have opened a ticket with HP and sent them logs however, I wonder if anyone on here has had the issue. The device works with other platforms just fine. (I.E. Zoom and Teams)Room System version 24.2.30 (Studio x52)Room Controller version 24.2.35 (Poly TC10)

Unable to Start or Join meeting - MacBook Pro M3

Hi,I am running into an issue where I am unable to start or join a meeting on my new MacBook Pro M3. When I click Join Meeting or Start Meeting, the message pops up saying 'joining' or 'starting', but then just hangs - the meeting window does not open.I have deleted and reinstalled the app, shut down and restarted the MacBook, and have tried to change setting to use RingCentral Video rather than RingCentral Meetings - but nothing has worked.Has anyone experienced similar on a Mac and have any information?

Weird pop-ups during meetings

I just switched to a new MAC, and the weirdest pop-ups just start showing up in my meetings without me pressing anything. Thumbs-up, balloons, etc. I have special effects turned off and never pressed a reaction. What is this, and how can I make it stop? I use Ring Central for meetings all the time, and this is really strange.

Why did you remove Meeting Polls (NOT webinar)

It wasn't great, but there use to be a way to make a poll for Ring Central meetings in your account ahead of the meeting. Unlike others (Zoom, 8x8, Teams, Webex) where you can create a poll in a meeting on the fly. Now that function seems to be completely gone. No warning. I see however, Ring promoting very hard, its new Webinar mode which has a polling function. Now I see why our new price offer was lower - because Ring intends to recoup that per-user video license decrease with other fees in Webinars to get the features we use to get? There were no warnings in the product update e-mails I get to say this was going to be stripped away. Nor do Webinars meet our need - we do MEETINGS, not webinars, and we use polls in meetings with our clients and our staff. Please explain why you made this change, and if you indeed to repair and restore this function that we paid for.

Scheduled Meeting does not appear on Video Meetings page

Running Desktop App version 23.1.22.6903. My RingCentral is connected to a google calendar. I follow the steps to schedule a video meeting for tomorrow at 6pm. I choose to use the copy paste method of inviting attendees and click on schedule the meeting. The message tells me that the video meeting is successfully scheduled, however the meeting does not appear in the Upcoming meetings area.How do I get this functionality to work correctly ?

STOP RC from starting a web browser when I click on a mtg from an outlook calendar entry?

How can I STOP Ring Central from starting a web browser when I click on a meeting from an outlook calendar entry? Certainly an annoyance when I have 3-4 meetings a day. it just clutters up my screen. Any assistance would be appreciated. Mark

Idea for What Appears in Upcoming Meetings in Video Section

Hello,I have an idea about what to display in the Video section of Ringcentral under "Upcoming Meetings".A lot of people use Outlook for reminders and not necessarily appointments. Some of our staff get annoyed by the notification in RingCentral as well as Outlook when they have this happen.Maybe an option could be made to only have appointment appear in "Upcoming Meetings" if a link is included in the "Location" section of the Calendar invite in Outlook.Just a thought, but would be interested in people's thoughts.Have a great day!
