Getting Started with RingCentral: Deskphone Setup Via Assisted Setup

Welcome to another Getting Started with RingCentral guide! This series is all about helping you maximize your RingCentral experience through essential features. This time it’s all about how to set up your deskphone via Assisted Setup. What is Assisted Setup? Deskphones that you already own or have purchased from a third-party vendor must be set up to connect to RingCentral. This option is known as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). You’ll be able to do an assisted setup if the phone that you have is part of the Certified and supported deskphones for RingCentral . How to do an assisted setup for your deskphone Sign in to the Admin Portal. Click the Phone System tab in the top menu. In the left panel, click Phones & Devices > User Phones , then select an existing deskphone from the list. Note : If you need to add an existing phone, go to Add an Unassigned Phone . Click Set Up & Provision. Enter the brand name or model of your deskphone in the search bar, then select it from the dropdown. Clic

We know that the status and functionality of your RingCentral products is crucial to keep your business running smoothly. We've prepared this step-by-step guide with information to stay up to date with RingCentral Service Status and ensure you have real-time information if an incident should occur. What is a Service Status Notification? It is a subscription page inside your RingCentral Online account which allows Administrators to sign up any User on their system to receive service-impacting issue notifications via email and/or SMS. How to set it up? Log in to your RingCentral online account . Click Admin Portal . Go to Users , then User list and select a user. Select the features to be monitored and the notification type: By Email or By SMS . System status notifications are sent to the email and/or mobile phone number set in User Details . Click Save . NOTE : In order to receive system status notifications by email and/or SMS, the user must have a valid email address and mobile phone
