How to reassign old employee extension to a current employee?

Hello,We have a voip phone with an extension who belonged to a former employee. A current employee moved to that desk and I am trying to reassign that phone/extension to that current employee. I changed their display name but when I try to change the email to send the current employee the invite to set up their account I get the duplicate email association. How can i assign the extension to that user?

Outbound calls not recognizing numbers being pushed in phone trees

We just started using Ring Central. There are many times a day we need to call customers back. If the customer we are calling has an IVR Menu/Phone tree and we need to press a number to get to a certain department - their phone system is not recognizing the number press from the app dial pad. For example, "Press 1 for sales" 1 is selected on the app dial pad, the customers phone system acts like we didnt press a button. This is happening with all of our customers, not just 1 or 2. So I dont think the issue is on their end. Any help is appreciated

How to assign speed dials to Line buttons.

We recently migrated our entire company to RC. We have all Poly VVX350s. When the phones boot up the users name and ext show for every line button.I have followed all the instructions I can find on this relating to creating contacts, marking favorites and assigning index numbers to them Supposedly that is supposed to make the new contacts appear next to the line buttons in descending order.It does not.I found this 3yr old post that explains that I can go into the admin portal and go to Presence and assign an ext to the 3rd line button and that unlocks the other buttons, now the favorites in descending order appear as designed.The problem is, we don’t want to go assign a random ext to all 2500 users just so they can then program their own line speed dials.This looks like it was an unintended feature 3 YEARS ago, how has this not been fixed? What is a workaround to NOT have to have an admin manually assign an ext to every phone and then allow users to assign their own lines?

Extension has no option to connect to custom CRM

I am trying to develop a custom integration for my own CRM. I have been following the documentation and cannot figure out how to actually connect, no options appear. In troubleshooting it says the following:I don't see a "Connect" button to login to my CRMIn order to determine which CRM to connect to, you need to launch the extension while visiting and logged into your CRM application. App Connect will detect from the domain you are visiting to determine which CRM to prompt you to connect to. If you launch App Connect from any other domain, you will not see an Authorize or Connect button.I have my urlIdentifier set correctly,  clearly my manifest is set correctly as well as I get a prompt to connect to my CRM. I believe the issue stems from the extension itself not having permissions to access any other site asides from the ones it asks for when installing. There is no option in both edge and chrome to add additional sites to the permissions.​Prompt shows up to connect in settings but

How to transfer call text summaries from RingCentral to Zoho CRM?

Recently RingCentral introduced it's AI capabilities which can transcribe, summarize, list action items of the call recordings and share with the Sales Agents.  We are looking for a way to get these call summaries and action items to the Zoho CRM and associate with the specific lead. 2 channel audio and bitrate for recordings

Can Ring Central recordings be enabled for 2 channel audio (where the 2 sides of a call are on isolated channels L/R or otherwise?)Also, can the sampling rate be improved to a higher rate than 8000hz?We are trying to determine if we can support a solution that currently uses 2 channel recordings @22,050hz from Twilio with a RingCentral recording or if the solution will have to stay on Twilio.

Internal Transfer vs Outside Callers

We use the service for our law office, with 4 employees and a front desk/conference room phone.  I managed to set up the Call handling template that rings everyone’s desk phone when an outside caller calls into the office. But, in order to do so, I have one “main” phone line (which is attached to our front desk phone) to handle the routing. The problem then comes whenever I have an internal transfer from another office - going to the front desk - because then the call is routed back into my “ring all” instruction, causing all phones to ring. Is there a way to create a rule for internal transfers that will prioritize the transfer and not “ring all” or is there a way to add another “phone line” that is the main line and carries the “ring all” command but is not connected to a physical phone?

Hi folks!I’ve created a telephony event notification subscription, where I can get notified through webhook when there’s an incoming call, but then I’ve deleted the subscription, when I get list of subscriptions now, it’s empty: but somehow still receiving requests in my webhook when there’re telephony events, how can I stop this, please help.

Change user forwarding number

Hello, I am trying to change the number that is being used to transfer calls to for a user. They changed the phone and number they will be using. I see that the help instructions says:To change the phone number calls are forwarded to, follow these steps:1. Go to the Admin Portal: `https://service.ringcentral.com` and sign in.2. Navigate to Users > User List.3. Select the user you want to modify.4. Go to Call Handling & Forwarding.5. Under Forwarding Numbers, add or modify the numbers where calls should be forwarded.6. Make sure to configure the rules for when calls should be forwarded.7. Click Save. However when I get to step 4 I am unable to find the Call Handling & Forwarding section they are referring to in the instructions. Can someone help me find this section?Thank you

How Delete Messages on my Physical RingCentral Phone from a previous rep-have no idea what her pin or sign on was

I use the app instead of the phone but I still have a physical phone from the previous administive assistant that has about 75+ calls on it in her name. I have no idea what her sign on was or pin. Is there anyway I can delete these all on my physical phone. They do not show up in my app as it’s under my name not hers but the phone is still listing her name and all the messages.

Microsoft Bookings and Ring Central Video

Our company is currently using Acuity to allow clients to schedule time with each partner. We would love to eliminate that and just use Microsoft Bookings. The only problem I am having, is I can’t figure out a way to get Microsoft Bookings to utilize Ring Central video links instead of Teams. I have set it up on the backend of RingCentral so that it’s connected with my Microsoft account and Teams account but it still won’t let me change that. Has anyone done this previously and could tell me how you did it? Thank you!

Voicemail Message Length

Over the last week, people calling me can now leave 10 or 15 minute long voice messages if they want. For years, there was a 3 minute time limit and the message would get cut-off, which I prefer. How do I go back to only allowing a 3 minute max voice message?
