On the last RingEX Unlocked BYOC was brought up and the question of whether it was available for Japan or Dubai, it could not be answered on the call. Can you confirm if Bring Your Own Carrier is available for RingEX?

Hello, We are subscribing to an external service for afterhours.  I’ve been going back and forth deciding to add the external transfer to the main afterhours IVR or utilizing the afterhours setting in the Call Queue. Is there any benefit/downfall to either one? Thank you

We have a call queue set to forward to an external number afterhours.  We also have call recording activated in which there is the “this call is being recorded” notification on all inbound calls.  We have been running into an issue when the RingCentral notification is being played at the same time the afterhours service is picking up the call and making their introduction.  Is there a way to control this so that the RingCentral notification is completed before the call is transferred to the afterhours service? Thank you

I continue to be notified by fellow employees that they are unable to find me in their contacts and that my profile is hidden. I’ve searched though all available setting and cannot find anything where it’s an option.

Recently RC has stopped offering the normal Polycom ATA devices we use for fax machines. I was told the Cisco ATA 192 would offer the same functionality.On multiple devices we have discovered that the internet out port on the device (labelled as "Ethernet" on the device) does not seem to function. I have spent the last week plus poking around in the online configuration utility and I cannot get this to work. I can get the device online, I can fax in and out, everything works other than the port on the device that is supposed to be used for another device to access the web will not allow a connection. I believe this has something to do with the IP address on the port being assigned to a weird value.I am still waiting on a solution from RC Support. This has stopped all fax conversions currently so hoping that either 1) there is a solution already from someone on this board or 2) help others who are stuck with this issue.

I am new to the RingCentral platform. I also have never configured Polycom phones before. With guidance from RingCentral Support I have been able provision our mix of Polycom VVX 400 and 601 models. I also set them up with soft buttons showing the other extensions using the names of the office’s users.Why can the soft buttons in Position 1 and 2 not be edited or moved in Users → Users with Extensions → Name → Devices & Numbers → Presence? Why does the name of the user of the extension for which the phone is configured appear twice? This is redundant. Can one of them be removed?Also see the attached JPEG file. Apparently, adding inline images in this editor has been disabled.

I set up automated out of office SMS message for Christmas. It’s still running and I can’t turn it off. The message doesn’t appear in Automator or Workflow Builder.Please help!!

When my Avaya J179 phones are provisioned by RingCentral, their Web Administrator Password is getting clobbered.  I don’t know what RingCentral is setting that password to.  I can reset that password to the default 27238 from the phone’s administration menu directly, and then I can login to the phone’s web interface where it prompts me to set a new password, which I can do successfully.  That password works fine until I reboot the phone for any reason, then it gets clobbered again.  This makes it impossible for me to maintain web access to my phones, practically speaking.  Can I find out what password RingCentral’s provisioning is setting for my phone’s Web Administrator access?  Or, can I do something to have RingCentral’s provisioning refrain from clobbering that password?

We are testing the connection of RC to GHL and the text messages are not synching on GHL. Is this a glitch? Are you working on solving this?

We just finished Ring Central Implementation. During working hours, the phones ring in Sales Queue however after hours it rings to all 4 production buildings. No one hears in the plants because only the phone rings which is in an unmanned office. I need the phone to ring through paging speakers after hours. How can I accomplish that?A second question is how do I Park a Call and show it parked until answered?Thanks

i was told that ai would be able to handle overflow calls, currently all overflow calls are forwarded to my answering service after 20 secs if our secretary is unable to answer. After talking to the ai onboarding tech, he stated it would not work unless i had to purchase an upgraded service. why cant it work as it does currently by forwarding to the ai receptionist after call is not answered in 20 secs?

I have successfully updated our company address, but I am unable to figure out how to update the main contact information for the account in RingCentral.  I have searched on your site and googled how-to’s with no luck of making this update. Please help as soon as possible as the current number on the account will no longer be in use soon since we are closing that plant down.

I want to clean up old Team chats that have been created and not used.  Is there a way for me to do this?  I can’t seem to find it in the Admin tool.

There is one phone that rings whenever an extension that is setup as a presence key is called.  The checkbox “Ring my phone when any users I am monitoring rings” is unchecked.  The phone is a VVX450.  All the presence keys have been removed, phone unplugged then plugged back in.  No extensions are shown on the display.  Confirmed by adding calling a couple of the extensions that were previously assigned to presence keys and his phone did not ring.  Added one extension as a presence key, unplugged the phone and plugged back in.  The one extension is now showing on the display.  When the presence key extension is called the users phone rings.  I again confirmed that the “Ring my phone...” box is unchecked.  Tried a resync and still the same thing. Also, tried checking the “Ring my phone..” box, unplugging the phone, plugging back in, removing the check, unplugging the phone and then back in. Nothing seems to work.  Anyone have any ideas as to how to resolve this? Thank you

Hi RingCentral Team,I’m facing a refresh token issue using the RingCentral PHP SDK (v2.3.1) in a Laravel application. The refresh token call fails with “Refresh token has expired”, even though the access token is still valid and well within its expiration window.What makes this confusing is that the official RingCentral Web Phone Demo (https://developers.ringcentral.com/demo.html), using the same RingCentral account, same app, and same environment, stays authenticated for weeks without any issues.🔍 Issue Summary Access token validity: 1 hour Refresh token validity: 7 days (604800 seconds) Observed behavior: Refresh token fails even when attempted within minutes of issuance Error thrown by SDK: Refresh token has expired Expected behavior: Refresh token should remain valid for days, not minutes 🧪 Environment DetailsLaravel App PHP 8.1 Laravel 10.x RingCentral PHP SDK: 2.3.1 cURL: 7.68 OS: Ubuntu 20.04 Environment: Real Number with old developer acoount

There is no reason why this has not been done yet. We are a small business. My father died on Monday, yet I still have to work as 90% of my clients text instead of call or email. There is not even a standard message reply that I can set. I literally just have to deal with the work while I am off dealing with the passing of my father. This is just ridiculous as I see threads of this kind going back at least 2 years. 

How do I view scheduled meetings in the new RingCentral Desktop App? In the RingCentral Meetings app, there was a tab for "Meetings" where I could see all recurring and scheduled meetings.

Hello,We are setting up Ring Central and have a main site with a main phone number and our first ‘sub site’.  We don’t have a phone number for this site and want to1.) Assign a temporary main number to this sub site2.) Then port in our existing main number to replace this temporary numberUnfortunately, going thru all the tutorials, Google searches, etc. hasn’t really helped to sort out how to do this.Thanks in advance for any help!Eric

Some of our clients have expressed an interest in utilizing more of the AI capabilities within Ring, with a particular emphasis on wanting call summaries and / or transcriptions. However, they specifically want this information for purposes of an integration.  I’m a bit reluctant to develop functionality through the API as it is still listed as being in Beta, and I don’t want to be writing code that might just suddenly stop working one day. I see that RingEX offers built-in AI Insights, but so far as I am aware those summaries / transcriptions are just within the app and not available for export to an integration via API.  My questions are these: s there any way for RingEX data to be utilized an integration, or is it application-specific? Is there any way to automatically perform AI Insight analysis of call logs via the API, or are we dependent on enabling automatic call log recording, querying the call log API to get the call recording itself, and then passing that to the AI analysis

Are there more granular ways to handle Contact creation for the integration aside from the single setting in the Integration Console? Currently facing an issue with the volume of Contacts being created in this fashion. I know it’s related to how we have the integration set to ‘Create Contact with Phone Number’.Our SDRs may create a new Contact using the same number as the integration created. I then have to merge any of those Contacts with the integration ‘Caller +1’ contact manually then bulk delete the rest. I’m wondering if there’s a smoother way to handle this or more granularly control the Contact creation. We’re still relatively new to both RC and HubSpot this year so there’s a lot of learning, growth & iteration on our end. But ideally, we could preserve the call log/history while preventing these duplicates from appearing. As a tangential question, our internal calls are being logged in HubSpot as well as our main company number. Is there a way to exclude that number from b
