Is it possible to retrieve voicemail transcription using python sdk?I am getting the following response from the message when calling the message-store API/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/{extension_id}/message-store'Then using the uri in the message, which I am hoping is the ascii transcription but unsure how to get it from the api response. What would be the correct way to retrieve the transcription from a voicemail using python SDK? 

I have an agent named Mike(RingCentral user) who receives calls from clients, and a supervisor named Jamal(Another ring central user) who listens to the calls silently.Right now, I am using this API:/telephony/sessions/{telephonySessionId}/superviseThis API allows the supervisor to listen to the call between the agent and the client, but it uses a mixed audio channel, so I cannot identify who is speaking.Now, I am trying to use the Call Party API:/telephony/sessions/{telephonySessionId}/parties/{partyId}/superviseThis API supports single-channel supervision, which should allow me to detect who is speaking.However, it requires an agentExtensionId for both the agent and the client.We have an extension ID for the agent it supervise the call for agent like it know that this is the agent, but the client does not have an extension ID.When I try to supervise the client party, the API returns a 409 Conflict error.How can I supervise both parties when the client does not have an extension ID?Pl

Should I create a new developer account?Or can I continue to use my existing developer account and directly use my Production RingEX organization to build and test my app?Since there is no sandbox anymore, I want to know: Is it acceptable to skip “testing mode”? Should I build the app directly in Production using my real admin extension + real phone number? 2. I have a non admin user who cannot connect to the ring central app.  I do not have an issue with admin users.  I am not receiving any errors, it just will not connect.

HelloWe would like to make some automation regarding the internal shared directory.Is there any way to do that with the RING EX API ? or uploading contacts with the csv file is the only way to do that ?  Thanks !

Want to get my receptionist in production. What would help for all of us:A sandbox to test what we’re building, not at the individual stage level, but in basically a production level sandbox.    The 500 character “prompt” (ie, company description) is way too short. It also may be better used as a traditional system prompt rather than an faq generating action (“You are a helpful knowledgeable and kind assistant for company XYZ… Always use {variables}. Never say {variable}. Do not insert stock phrases like “would you like me to transfer you to X”. Trying to build a capable assistant not a switchboard.    Please provide more information on the knowledge base usage, and how the AI references it.  we can create (some of us have this handy) our own faq; can the knowledge base contain instructions on bot behavior…tone/temperature etc? (More than the options for the default voice and style)? Will growing knowledge bases create significant latency in the AI response? are .md or .xml files usabl

I'd like to have some shared voicemail boxes made. My question is: If I have multiple lines feed into a shared voicemail box, will each individual line still receive their own voicemails in their voicemail boxes as well, or does that override it and they all go to that one shared voicemail box?

Several users have reported shared voicemail messages are delayed by as much as 24 hours.  This seems to be a recent development.  Users state all messages are cleared, but then the next day new messages populate from the day before, some from as early as 10-11am.  Is this a known issue?  I have not yet opened a support case.

Over the past two weeks we have started receiving SMS messages with the message “help”.  The inbound numbers are random and very infrequently the same.  The majority of the numbers being targeted are not published so am assuming a bad character somehow retrieved them.  In looking through the SMS logs concentrating on Company Numbers I am seeing the inbound text and then an immediate outbound text to that very number.  These Company Numbers are only monitored by myself and am not responding to these texts.  When logged into the app as admin I am not seeing any outbound text.  Also, the admin account receives other texts but am not seeing any similar auto response. Any ideas why these auto responses are being generated?   Thank you,Susan  

The Phone HUD feature work on some extensions, but not all. The only setting/ Phone/ General is on/off for HUD. I’ve toggled and restarted, but it still does not work.

Hello, I have set up a workflow with Zoho Flow to send an SMS based on the status of a lead. The SMS should be sent from the phone number of ANY lead owner/user that has changed the lead status. The lead owner/user has a ring central account and a phone number. However, the flow will only work for me, the person that has configured the wrkflow. For all other owners/user, I get this error: "RingCentral says \"In order to call this API endpoint for another extension, one of the following permissions [OutboundSMS] have to be granted with extended scope to the authorized user.\""Why oh why is something that's so simple somehow made rather complicated by Ringcentral?

Hi, I reviewed the documentation but couldn’t find any references to webhook subscriptions for Video Calls. We have a need to download RC video recordings and ideally our platform is notified via webhook. We currently use subscriptions for phone calls and that works well.Does anyone know if it’s supported at all? I know the Video APIs are in beta so I’m not sure if the docs are somewhere else or if it’s just not supported.Thanks!

Is there a way I can create a role where the only access they have is call recordings for a specific set of users?

I recently switched to Frontier. I tried using my previous phone with a Cisco adapter, but it didn’t work. The RingCentral team recommended a Yealink phone, saying it would work immediately once installed, so I purchased it — but it also doesn’t work.Because of this, I spent the entire day on the phone trying to resolve the issue. At this point, after so many calls, I’m so confused that I don’t even know what the problem is anymore, where I am, or who I am. And still, nothing has been fixed.I really don’t know what to do next or how to solve this. I’m overwhelmed, I haven’t gotten any work done, and I think I’m completely burned out.Please help.

I am using the RingCentral App Connect (Google Chrome Extension) that integrates RingCentral with CRMs (such as Clio). This tool allows logging calls and texts directly into the CRM.However, when logging phone calls—either manually or automatically—the system records the time as the following day if the call is logged after approximately 4 PM. This behavior is problematic because:The time should reflect the actual day the call occurred. I am unable to easily see future time entries  Alternatively, there should be an option to adjust this setting.Even if a call happens after 5 PM, I need it to appear in the time entries for the same day. The current setup makes it difficult to locate, edit, or delete the logged time entry.Expected Behavior:Calls logged under the same day they occurred, or provide a configurable setting to control this behavior.

I have 2 users that do not come up as options in the messaging platform of RingCentral.  Is there a setting that I am possibly missing in the user profile that doesn’t allow them to get messages?  I have compared their settings in RingCentral to others users I message and they seem the same.Thank you!Kelly

What I’m wondering is if there is a setting that I can activate that will let me record a greeting that will play and then immediately place an incoming call on hold until I can answer it? While I’m currently on the line already?Example: I’m on the phone and the customer is speaking to me. I cannot interrupt them to ask them to hold while I take the new call long enough to ask them to hold while I finish the first caller. I am the only one here to answer the call though. So, I’m wondering if the new call coming in can be answered by Ring Central and asked to hold until I can end the call with the current caller and then switch over to the new caller? Hopefully that isn’t too confusing.

My company is new to RC and we have installed RC for Salesforce.  All is working well in the desktop, but click to dial doesn't work in the Salesforce mobile app.  It takes the user out of Salesforce and into the RC mobile app and does not log the call on the Salesforce record.  Also, inbound calls do not attempt to connect with the Salesforce record upon ringing, answering, or call completion.  I feel like we’re missing something in the configuration that connects the user’s Salesforce mobile app to their RC profile.I haven’t been able to find much documentation for admins or users on RC for Salesforce for mobile configuration.

The previous fix I saw for this mentioned accessing the “Admin portal.” As far as I know, I don’t have access to any admin portal. How do I make it so I can send texts via Ring? I’ve been working around this issue for over a year by copying the number that send me a text and replying using the texting service on my phone.Since I’ve had Ring, maybe a year and a half, sending texts has never worked. Maybe this account feature is disabled for me or is this something that isn’t yet integrated into the computer and phone application (both don’t work)?This seems like a simple fix and my senior level computer programming twin brother says it shouldn’t be complicated to utilize a phone number to send a message, phones in fact do this multiple times a day. Thanks
