AI Notes on Meetings

AI Notes for meetings is not visible to us even though we are using the new RingCentral Video Meetings and all necessary AI features are enabled on our admin console.

The transcript function is working but we are not able to see both live AI Notes in a meeting or as part of the meeting recording after the meeting has finished.

Hey, here are some things to check if AI Notes aren’t working!

  • Notes have to be manually started in-meeting. Transcription running on its own doesn't automatically trigger Notes. They're separate controls. Look for the Notes button in the meeting toolbar and make sure it's been activated.
  • Check both admin and user-level settings. Enabling AI features in the Admin Portal grants permission to use the AI Assistant, but users still need to enable Automatic Notes & Transcripts themselves in the RC app under Settings > AI. Both layers need to be on. 
  • Finding post-meeting Notes. After the meeting, Notes and transcripts are accessible in the Video tab under the Notes or Recordings sections. If Notes weren't turned on during the meeting, they won't appear there after the fact.
