I'm working with the Consent API. We have been using Redtail CRM x RingCentral Extension for call handling going on 4 years. We’ve dealt with one-off issues here and there but for the most part, it’s work seamlessly. For the past 2 months we’ve started to experience problems - if someone calls the office main line, I answer then forward to the proper office extension, that office extension answers in the ringcentral extension within redtail, but cannot hear the client on the line. Now immediately after hanging up, the office extension can dial out to the client it works fine. Or if the office extension answers the call directly, no problems there. It appears the problem is when the call is forwarded. Important note: none of the audio/microphone settings were changed. After we experience the problem, i will then test the same exact process, it then will work. Its extremely frustrating and unprofessional.  ETA: as of this morning I redownloaded the ringcentral extension to the office extension redtail. I tested it twice

We currently have all our calls logging but we are interested in having transcripts as well.

I’m working on a PoC for SMS Opt In/Out with our CRM. I'm performing the following request in a Java app using the latest SDK. My app is authenticating using Client Id/Secret and JWT. var response2 = rc.patch("/restapi/v2/accounts/~/sms/consents", body); This is the response body I get back.{"errorCode":"CMN-408","message":"Unauthorized access","errors":[{"errorCode":"CMN-408","message":"Unauthorized access"}]}I have confirmed that my app has the SMS scope and the SMSSending Feature Flag is turned on. Can you help me troubleshoot what permission/access I might be missing? I have already gone through the getting started tutorial and performed a successful “Ring Out” request, so I know that other REST requests do work.

I am trying to retrieve all  Transcripts , for the entire account, that occurred in  a date range, or possibly where the AI was completed in the date range   i would like to just use  http requests as opposed to the Ringcentral library.  is this possible?   

Hi Team,I believe I may have identified a bug affecting the RingCentral RingCX Salesforce integration when calls are handled through the RingCentral Phone via the RingCentral for Google Chrome add-on.Issues observed: When accepting a call through the Chrome add-on pathway, the Mute button within the RingCX Salesforce Widget becomes greyed out and cannot be selected. If I select any option within the Chrome add-on (e.g., Messages, Dialpad, etc.), the active call exits and can no longer be accessed from within the add-on. Business context:We are encouraging agents to remain within the Salesforce environment so they can: Add the Client ID and Case ID to the call Complete the dispositions accurately Fully leverage RingSense AI features, including call transcriptions At present, the RingCX Salesforce integration does not allow users to manage audio settings or ringtones, which is why the Chrome add-on is necessary as a workaround as we need the laptop speaker to ring for the agents. C

How is it possible in 2025 that I cannot have all of my Salesforce Accounts, Clients, Leads sync to RingCentral RingEx as Contacts (for all RC users)?This wasn’t even part of my vetting process because it’s so obvious this should already exist as part of the Salesforce integration.My users literally don’t know who is calling and texting them without manually searching Salesforce to find the name that matches the phone number.What am I missing??

I have a script that I run every 30–45 days to update company and user-level call rules with additional phone numbers gathered from our CRM. Hello, When using the URI to open the RingCentral app and make a call (rcapp://r/call?number={phoneNumber}), is there a parameter to specify the number that I am calling from? We have separate numbers that we dial out on, depending on the department. Thanks 

I wanted to get a Teams notification each time a change occurs on our platform, like a user is updated or deleted - so we could see if people are adding or deleting people without us knowing. The Subscriptions API sounded ideal - and it’s working, to an extent. Each time there’s an update to an extension (user), I get a notification via Webhook to Teams.The problem is, the content of the “event” is… minimal. And I’m not sure how I’m meant to do much with it.This is an example of the body of an event:"body":{"extensions":[{"extensionId":"xxxxxx","eventType":"Update","hints":["ExtensionInfo","CompanyNumbers"]}]}}', 'isBase64Encoded': False}I get that I’m meant to use the Hints values to query that Extension and I can see the new Extension information. Is it possible to add a new contact (a name and number for example) via the API so when a customer signs up there info is automatically added to RingCentral so if and when they call we have their name to show on the screen?

I am trying to stream call from RingCentral CX using gRPC server. Found the following page: https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/using-streaming-nodes-in-ringcx-workflow-studio.html  However, this page does not provide any detailed information regarding the gRPC server implementation. Here we only must provide server address with security credentials. I mainly have three questions:  To implement gRPC server, clients need to know which server function to call. And I don’t see any scope where I can provide “. proto” file or configure the client streaming data through dedicated server function. How can I configure the call stream to find “.proto” schema?  I found a detailed implementation using WebSocket Server (WSS) (https://developers.ringcentral.com/engage/voice/guide/workforce/call-streaming/getting-started ). Is there any such working demo which implements a gRPC server?  Once we create a streaming workflow, is it applied to every call for every agent in the company? Or is it

Hi all! We have been having an ongoing issue for weeks that has become quite frustrating. Every time we run a campaign (even if the campaign is still open) we are unable to download any reports regarding that campaign. It is pivotal that we have that information as that excel sheet is the basis for follow-up campaigns the next week. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are at our wits end. Hi Team,I’ve already added the required RingSense scopes to my application, but I still cannot retrieve the transcript and summary from the RingSense API. Every request returns a 403 Forbidden error.When I tried to access this API to get transcript & summary, it looks like not be granted permission:Question:Are there additional permissions or entitlements required to access transcript and summary data from RingSense?Expected Result:Able to retrieve call insights (transcript + summary) for valid record IDs once scope is granted.

HiI am working on a workflow that has some JS and I need to play different audio file greeting based on the DNIS of the incoming call. I am able to handle the DNIS and put in if condition for it but I am not able to play the audio prompt in the next node. get var P3 = "Name_of_Audio_File" And the next node is as follows  When I test call the workflow I get no audio.  Has any one been able to play audio file by using the file name in an a variable ?

Pulling my hair out.basiically , i’m writing a websocket listener (using php/laravel) to listen for incoming calls.i following the sample provided by RingCentral and Not able to get this working. (using theSDK) The code create the socket, then the subscription, however the subscription->subscription() returns{"eventFilters":[],"expirationTime":"","expiresIn":0,"deliveryMode":{"transportType":"PubNub","encryption":false,"address":"","subscriberKey":"","secretKey":""},"id":"","creationTime":"","status":"","uri":""} Shouldn’t the transportType = websocket?the code ran, but does not invoke whenever we have incoming calls.P.s I do have websocket and websocket subscription in my app scope. using JWTClient ID: 8wZCaIqPR4S2JP8UPr2RTwThank You! 

I could really use some help getting started with this scenario: sending an SMS from a MS Power Flow.  I have a Power App that needs to notify students via SMS that they have a package ready for pickup.  I have some limited experience using REST API’s and I’m struggling to complete the Authentication step.  I have created a dev app in RingCentral.  I created a JWT connected to that app.  Power Flow has an HTTP connector, but I can’t find a good example of what I need to put in the header and body. I have been trying to use the OAuth doc here: RingCentral RingEX API Reference | RingCentral Developers, but have not got the authentication request working.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Especially if you can provide a screenshot of your steps in Power Flow (minus your secrets of course).  Thank you.  

Hi everyone,I’m trying to set up an integration between RingCentral and CData Sync to import call logs and analytics data, ideally hourly. I’ve run into an authentication issue and could use some advice.What I have:RingCentral app credentials: Client ID, Client Secret, and pre-issued JWT token.In CData Sync, I’ve tried:OAuthClient (Client Credentials), which fails with error message “Failed to retrieve OAuth token information” Bearer Token -- works for one-time imports, but the token expires quickly.Problem:CData Sync doesn’t natively support pre-issued JWT tokens, and our RingCentral app doesn’t provide a private key to generate JWTs programmatically. We want to do automated imports, but the current setup isn’t compatible.Questions:Can our current RingCentral app support Client Credentials / OAuthClient for server-to-server integration? If not, is there a way to get a JWT private key or another recommended approach for programmatic access? Has anyone successfully integrated RingCentra
