Problem with faxing

Attention: Ring Central Users

 

After a recent vendor system update, some RingCentral users may experience issues viewing inbound and outbound faxes.

 

What is known currently:

         Some can hear the ding when a new fax arrives, however, the fax queue appears empty (No fax messages).

         Other users may be prompted to download a newer version of the software, however, this newer version is also having issues

         Some users will be unable to send (or see) Outbound faxes from either the Ring Central website, or from the installed program that runs on your PC

o   Even though faxes appear to go through, Outbound fax history is empty and nothing is sent

 

Known workarounds:

         Use your traditional fax machine or multifunction to send outbound faxes

         View inbound faxes directly from the Ring Central vendor website

 

A high priority incident has been opened with the vendor, however, they tell us this is impacting many of their external customers and it may take up to 72 hours for their Development team to resolve.

Don't hold your breath on this one. I spent all day on this...In VAIN. This is a unilateral move on the part of RingCentral that was done with NO prior or advanced notice to their paying customer. RingCentral can take the monthly paying promptly and give your horrible service in return.

Our engineering team is working diligently to correct this problem. Until such time that the issue is resolved, the only recommendations we have are listed in the "Known workarounds" listed in our public communication above. Once the issue is corrected, our public communication will be updated to reflect the same.
