Ringcentral Desktop app wont open after you x out of it
the desktop app wont reopen after you x out of it, you need to go into task manager and kill the task. I understand you want users to log out of the app but according to ringcentral support it is by design, has anyone run into this before and come up with a solution., I cannot believe this is the way it has always worked.
This does sometimes cause confusion as some programs do completely shut down when clicking the X. However, the buttons are really not designed to "close" the program. They are actually commands for the active window, not commands for the program. This page has a details explanation if you care to read it.
Notice that when the RingCentral Destkop app is opened. You can open additional windows. For example you could have the main app on your screen, you could click settings and also be viewing the Settings screen, and you could also click the icon to open the HUD display. A user may want to have some, but not all of these windows open. So, the X allows you to close just the specific windows you are done with, but not close the app as a user may still be needing to view the other windows.
Most people use the x to close out the program and then you can click on it or double click to reopen it and the application reopens. the problem is you cannot get the desktop app to reopen again once you x out, without killing the task.
