Allow Call forwarding to extension and not just the phone number

While you can setup some pretty elaborate call forwarding rules, I would like to ring multiple extensions in order or sequence based on the extension # and not a single phone number assigned to that extension. Currently it will ring the phone extension, but I want it to ring both the computer app and the phone app. It would be nice just to ring all the extensions phones.

setup an overflow within your group if you do not have Overflow shing ib the group programming you can call support and have it added.

Hey Matt, are you trying to accomplish this on a Call Queue extension or a User's extension?

Either way would be ok but the user extension would be the easiest.

Jim Thanks for the response but im not clear on what you are saying. I get that we can set up an overflow extension but can i get some more detail? I need the following going to extensions instead of numbers and I don't care how I do it. (Queue, Number, Etc.)

Hey Matt,

I would suggest looking through the KBs we have regarding Call Queues and see if it's a good fit for you situation! Call Queues will ring all devices on an extension (including the mobile app).

Now, if you want to set up a Ring Group, which is what you're currently doing (sort of), check out this KB for Forward to Other User's Phone
For Ring Groups, only the deskphone and softphone can be rung - not the mobile app.
