This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Caller ID 15 Characters

1.Account type- US

2. A brief description of the business- The account has company numbers where they want to add a label in each number so they'll know which branch/office the number belongs to.

3. A high level description of the product or feature being requested- Increasing the maximum number of characters that can be entered for the Label/Name on Company phone numbers.

4.A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature-

If the account has multiple company numbers which are not assigned to extensions yet, it would be helpful if labels/name can be added to those numbers so that admins will know which branch/office/department the number belongs to. However there are instances where the customer will enter a name/location/department/branch that will exceed 15 characters. As of this time 15 characters is the limit that Ringcentral has (which includes spaces) when entering a label/name on the company numbers page.

5. Increasing the maximum number of characters that can be entered in the label/name field of company numbers.

6. 5 lines.

The 15 char limit is due to the phone number name being used as the CNAM for outgoing call ID, which has an industry limit of 15 char.   But we have a similar situation and we use the multi-site feature and assign all our numbers to specific sites - site names can be longer than 15 char, and there are many screens (phone numbers, user extensions, IVR menus, etc that can be filtered by multi-site names
