I recently tried to create a new extension and when I selected the check box to "Use email to log in" I received a message that the email address was already in use. I downloaded a user list and cannot find another extension with that email. I would be helpful if the alert specified where the email was in use.

Update. Support found the email. It was used to create a trial account for Meetings and had expired. So it wasn't really in use on our account. It concerns me that our instance was cross checked for emails from a free trial account. It seems like the duplicate check should only be for our account.

This is a design problem with the use of unique email accounts in RingCentral - to properly use unique email accounts, they need to add an email-confirmation process so that actual owners of email addresses are the only ones that can use an email address in RingCentral user settings.  (eg. when using an email address in user settings, a "please verify" email is auto-sent to the email address and has a link to verify it)

Currently anyone in the world can setup a paid or trial RingCentral account and assign any of my email accounts that I have not used yet in RingCentral.  Now my email address will receive notifications from an account that I don't own or manage, AND I am locked out from being able to use the email address for one of our own RingCentral users.
