Contacts: Add Picture - upload picture and be seen company wide in any app (softphone, smartphone, users)

It would be really nice if as an admin I could add pictures to all the company contacts within the desktop app that show up for every user.  It is hard to look through a list of grey silhouettes reading names compared to recognizing faces.  Right now each individual user can add pictures that show up for them personally but it is not feasible to have everyone do that for 70 some company contacts each.

Yes,  If you locate the contact you want to add the photo for, and click in the image place holder,  the next screen will give you an option to import an image.

Seems to still be an issue on my end. I resized the image cause the original was fairly large. The new size information is below but still throwing up an error. Screenshot attached, although I blocked out personal numbers.

Hmmm....what version of the softphone are you on? Have you tried logging out/in?

I attempted to restart the application and that didn't seem to work. Current Version: 10.1.2.31099.

If it makes any difference, I was able to login via the mobile application and upload the same image and it worked fine. I would consider my specific situation resolved, but the fact that the desktop app seems to be having uploading issues.

Hmmm..that's weird! I'm on the 10.2 version so maybe once your account gets updated, you will no longer have the issue. The update will finish at the end of September so try again after you get the update and let me know if it's not working :)

It would be nice to add avatar, or images to user accounts. If you have a good amount of people in your organization it would be cool to see the faces of users when looking at their presence in the mobile app.

I can add pictures to my individual app, but we would like to upload the photos in the company admin portal so they show for all our users.

I agree with the original poster.  It would be a great feature from an admin standpoint to be able to import pictures for users.

This would be a great feature for Admins. It is difficult to get users to upload a photo. I would like a way to upload a photo of each user that would show under contacts on softphone and mobile app.

Absolutely agreed that this ought to be possible at the ADMIN level. 
We do that now for other applications - with a dispersed workforce it really helps to be able to upload the photos, and to do centrally.

Not only would this be great for the admin but as we reissue numbers to new users, they are stuck with the previous employee's pic until they can figure out how to change it or we have to assign an IT member to go to them and remove it.

As a new RingCentral user, I was surprised that this was not a standard feature.  Please add the ability for the admin to add pictures for all users.  Another consideration would be to have RingCentral link profile pictures from other products such as Office365, Skype, LinkedIn, etc.

We need to be able to use our company standard pictures and not rely on employees to use pictures from their latest fishing trip.

We are having the same issue. No problem uploading pictures via phone app but desktop softphone won't have it. I've even tried with the same exact file. 20+ users here with same issue.

A while back I added a bunch of photos for contacts into my Ring Central Desktop app. Then one day they were gone! I didn't change anything on my computer and I don't think there was even an app update that did it. Either way, they are gone and the only profile pics I can see are the ones others added for themselves. I am an admin in Ring Central and would like to be able to add photos for everyone, so everyone can also see them. Will this ever be possible?
