Call Handling - Ring Deskphone first and then ring Ring Central App seond.

It would be nice to have a call ring on the deskphone first and then ring the Ring Central mobile app next. I have spoken to other Ring Central customers and I believe this is a very needed feature that is currently unavailable.

Becky - thanks for your quick response but your recommendation doesn't solve my problem. I do not want the call to ring my desktop computer and the mobile app first. I want the phone to ring at my desk phone first (and only my desk phone) and then if I don't pick up, I would like the call to forward to the Ring Central App on my cell phone. This will serve two purposes; it will allow me to automatically know that the incoming call is a work call because it arrived via the Ring Central App and it will also allow the call to stay within the Ring Central user interface rather than the call being forwarded directly to my cell phone.

I have made the changes that you recommended but only my desk phone rings. When a call comes in it rings my desk phone for about 5 or 6 rings and then goes to voicemail. The call is not forwarded to the Ring Central Mobile App.

Hi Michael,

Can you confirm the mobile app that you're using? Technically it should ring both phones and please ensure that your extension numbers are the same and you're logged into the same account on both RC Apps Mobile and Desktop

I have the "R" App and the Ring Central Phone App as well. Just to be clear, when I say that i want the phone to ring on my desktop phone first, I mean the Cisco 8861 phone that literally sits on my desk. I have no interest in the phone ringing on my desktop computer.

As for logging in, I am logged in under the same user and extension #.

Finally cleared the air - seems like desk (physical) phone vs desktop phone on the computer are used interchangeably. 

Unfortunately we do not have that feature as of today - I checked in with the other team that's working on this - it's tentatively slated for 2021.

This is another of those features that has been requested by and voted for so many times by so many customers and still not done.  It had been planned for end of 2019 but still waiting....
