Just found out about the Chrome Extension upgrade. Say goodbye to the Windows platform! I'm sure each program you put out is constantly under review and right now the only thing I can see that I'll miss is the longer text format. Otherwise, Thank you much.

Awesome Randy! Glad you are enjoying the RingCentral for Google Chrome app :-) We would also love hearing your feedback in a month or so after you've used it for a while.

Kim, In response to you, I already have some feedback. Let me preface it by saying it's a good try, and I will use it during the day Mon-Fri when I'm not getting call queue calls. I totally love the idea. That being said, here are some things I have noted so far:

1) As I said earlier, I will use it when not receiving call queue calls during the day, Mon to Fri. The reason being, it gives no call queue information. Running an answering service, I have to know how to answer the phone for a specific account. Without the queue info, I'm dead.

2) The call log does not update, at least in my configuration. To get it to update I had to refresh the browser.

3) Call quality was good.

4) Widgets for things like call transfer are unwieldy. I actually found what's there by accident .The pop-out for the app could be made a bit wider to allow space for them so they are more readily accessed.

Lastly, to me anyway, with some work this could end up being the best of your soft products. I look forward to the evolution.

Randy, Are you using the extension on a Windows machine or Chrome OS? I have been using the extension in Chrome OS and while it works great for me, there is this annoying thing where every time the Chromebook/box goes to sleep or restarts, the extension will automatically default back to RingOut, instead of using browser for calls. Have you experienced this?

Jesus, I haven't had that issue because I don't use a chrome OS laptop or box. I use the windows version. I'm not really even using the extension very much right now either. While I have high hopes for it, the limitations on characters in texting and placement of some of the widgets make it too cumbersome. I keep it enabled and check it every now and then to see if it has upgraded, but pending that, I stay with RC for Windows. The development of the Chrome extension and some tweaks to the mobile app, giving them identical capabilities to the Windows app are the biggest things I look forward to with RingCentral. In my mind, all software made available to customers should have the same features so you don't suffer the limitations moving from one environment to the other. Good luck with your issue.
