Enough is enough RingCentral! We are in a panademic and scammers are calling more than ever! It's time you stop thinking about the almighty dollar and make Caller ID a standard function on ALL your plans. This is insane!!! Every other competitor of yours makes  Caller ID as a standard feature for subscribers to see who is calling them. Not just "Fraud Risk" or "Telemarketer". Some of these identifiers are incorrect and we deserve to see every caller ID! Do the right thing in this time of a panademic!!!!

I feel your frustration..... How can something so ubiquitous as Caller ID be used as a pay-for-use feature by a VOIP provider? Somehow this VOIP provider is skirting the rules of telecom and the FCC.

In the United States, telemarketers are required to transmit caller ID.[19] This requirement went into effect on January 29, 2004.[20] It is generally illegal to spoof Caller ID if done "with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value". The acts are prohibited under Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009.

Courts have ruled that caller ID is admissible.[21] Providers are required by FCC rules to offer "per-call" blocking of caller ID to their customers. Legislation in the United States in 2007 made caller ID spoofing illegal for fraudulent purposes.

In March 2017 the FCC approved a new rule that would allow telecom companies to block robocallers that use fake caller ID numbers to conceal their true location and identity.

Does RingCentral realize that during this panademic, if us "basic" users receive a phone call from an unknown number (of course the number shows up but not the name associated with it) and many like myself does not answer calls from numbers we don't know, what if it's a hospital notifying us that one of our family members is in the hospital, sick, critical or worse? This is NOT the time to be financially greedy for its shareholders!!!! Turn on caller ID during a state of emergency!!!

Yes, there are laws in place but not REQUIRING companies like RingCentral to make Caller ID a mandate.  Regardless, and in light of the unemployment and Covid-19, RingCentral should do it's part to allow all users to see the caller name/company associated with the number that is calling people. The amount of scammers and fraud has went up exponentially since Panademic and it should be corporate conscience to protect its subscribers, regardless of the plan that they are on.

This doesn't surprise me. Ask RingCentral about speed dial numbers. We were paying an extra $1600 a month (100 "users" @ $16 a month) for a basic, lacking feature - speed dials. We signed up presuming this basic phone feature would be included. Not the case.
