@Glip It is possible to send code snippets to teams / pm's? I'm not talking about formatting text with [code].

Hello LaidbackNikez,

Currently we don't have this feature.

If you would like me to change this to a feature request please fill out the following template:
  1. Account type  (U.S., Canada, UK,  AT&T, Telus, BT)
  2. A brief description of the business
  3. A high level description of the product or feature being requested
  4. A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature
  5. Benefit of such feature
  6. Include any related case number if applicable
  7. Number of Users and/or Digital Lines

But I saw a tweet from you (Glip, not you personally) back in 2013 where you state that you had this in a beta. https://twitter.com/glip/status/527887097991266304

Honestly, I don't feel like filling out a form for something that should be a core function in a Chat tool for businesses/teams.

Sorry for the frustration.  I double-checked with our Glip Product Team and unfortunately the priority level for this has changed based on user feedback and learning.  There's still a chance it could happen at some point so the best thing to do is for everyone who wants this to keep commenting and voting on this thread.

If it helps, there is a Notes feature and also the ability to upload files in case you need to share code. I realize it's not as convenient as just pasting it into a conversation, but it might suffice for some users.

01-09-2018  Michael - can you clarify if the notes feature will allow attaching of a plaintext document with the code in that? (zero formatting is important, for code smips to work the vehicle must not -auto-fix anything on the note)

I would not recommend using the "Notes" feature as it destroys the formatting.

If pasted as an attached document - how does it have an effect on formatting or lack of formatting as in a plain text document?

Steer very clear of using the Notes feature for code.  It has a <> code button, and pretends it will host code.  But when you return, it will be ... different.

Glip: might want to remove the broken feature of Notes until you can refactor. This is dangerous, something users have to learn the hard way presently.

This is the only feature stopping my development team from moving over to Glip at the moment.

Seems like it might be feasible to support an integration for this, e.g., http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter/
