How do I call or text from two lines through the soft phone?

I have two businesses.  When I singed on with Ring Central, they told me it would be no problem to handle both my businesses as they would each be setup with a separate user and separate number.  I had asked how I would know which business is being called and was told that the app would tell me.  Therefore, I signed up for the system and I'm now being told that I will only be able to be texted or called on one line at a time as the app is user based as opposed to overall based.  Therefore the only business that I can receive calls or texts from is whichever one I'm logged into which makes the system totally useless for me.
I can't imagine I'm the only one that needs to be able to access two lines.
Any suggestions?

I had the same issue. To work with it, I have one account linked to my outlook email so I can see notifications there and the other linked to my desktop RingCentral Phone App. However, I'd like a better solution also (e.g. multi-user account with dual screens so both can be viewed and used with minimal effort) or maybe there is already a better solution?

Thanks, Yeah I thought of that, but checking an email account kind of defeats the purpose of being able to text.
I'm considering using ring central for one line and vonage for another line so I can have both their apps running.
This seems like a pretty basic issue so I'm really hoping they have a simple solution.  With some businesses, they will have a sales line and a customer service line and sometimes one person has to manage both lines.  I have to imagine this scenario is common.

I know this might be ridiculous but it's just a suggestion not a solution. You can login into the RingCentral Phone App with one account and the Ringcentral Desktop App with a different account and stay logged in as both.

Thinking off the top of my head.
What if you create two groups, Comp A and Comp B and assign number accordingly.
Then, record your greeting 'thank you for calling comp A.......
When it comes to the receptionist desk, maybe have the presets to have company A ring on the left side and company B on the right side.

I haven't tested this idea but i am pretty sure it will work, or i am at least close. :-)
