Caller ID: How do I change the Outbound Caller ID on individual extensions?

When I call a customer, I want the number that appears to be our local number. It currently comes up as '800 service'. Thanks in advance.

Outbound Caller ID's can be managed by each extension under Settings --> Outbound Caller ID (see below article).  

Setting a User's Outbound Caller ID

To update the ID to a number that is associated with another extension (including Groups) and not showing up in the Outbound Caller ID drop down, please:
  • Move the desired number to Auto-Receptionist (under Company Number)
  • Next, go into users and change the necessary Outbound Caller ID's
  • Finally, move the number back to it's original Ext. 
NOTE: this does not apply to cell phone app, that needs to be done inside the app itself. 

If the number is assigned to a Device, contact Support.  They will need to temporarily unassign it be moved to Auto-Receptionist and then follow the above steps.
