Can we please get integration with the Jabra Suite (as a soft phone) so we can support the physical buttons on the headsets for call hang up / mute / busy light. I am speaking specifically to the Jabra Evolve line of headsets.

We have Jabra 9470 and older, and some Plantronics... we really need this functionality too.

Yes another vote for this.  If I am walking around with my extended range Jabra Pro $300 headset I don't want to have to run back to my desk to take a call.  Very annoying to not have this ability.

Even the ability to set a basic Function key as a hotkey to answer a call seems like pretty basic functionality. Would adding this into the ringcentral application be a solution for Jabra users at all, or does that headset require integration with a specific app?

It would be great if RingCentral would even support wireless headsets.  The RingCentral usb audio bug keeps making my Jabra Headset audio skip randomly....except when talking to support of course.

Wait... The occasional few seconds of dropped audio for both parties during a call is is a RingCentral application problem, NOT a problem with just my computer?!?!?!?!?

Are you having dropped audio issues without the headset, or only with the headset.  If you have this problem without the headset then it's most likely a network issue and you'll want to check the settings here: How do I troubleshoot Call Quality issues - QoS?

I've already gone through the troubleshooting and made all of the changes.  The RingCentral app and RingCentral Meeting app (in my case on a Mac) simply decide to ignore the USB Audio.  The sound goes in and out randomly.  On the meetings it's even worse.  It's as if I have to wake up the connection by clicking "Test Speaker" and as long as there is constant noise and no pausing, it works.  This needs to be fixed.  Your list of "recommended" headsets are horrible.  Not one single leading brand and not one single monaural wireless headset for the soft phone.

Per Jabra support...it's a known RingCentral issue that RingCentral is aware of.

I also vote for Jabra headset support for soft phone. I have a Jabra Pro 9470.

Do you get sound through your Jabra consistency, or does it drop off every once in a while?

$200+ Jabra Headset, noise cancellation doesn't work with RingCentral.....Can't use any of the buttons, can't take or end calls with the headset......

Is there any progress on this?  EVERY other application I have will work with my Jabra 9470 EXCEPT Ring Central, which, very sadly, is not surprising.

this needs to get elevated to leadership at Ring Central. The fact this is not done is inexcusable.  Your a voip service.  People use you on computers.  Fix this now, please have someone return to me.

Jabra Pro 930 - I can hear and talk, but cannot pickup and hang up calls. Makes it not nearly as useful...

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Jabra Headsets.

When using Jabra 930 Duo Headsets there doesn't appear to be compatibility with the RingCentral Softphone (desktop) app. Specifically, we can't answer, put on hold, or end calls from the headset directly.

Is there any near future programmed inclusion? Evidently Jabra has made their products openly compatible, but the restriction is on your end.

I can hear and talk ok with my Jabra Pro 9470, but the headset buttons do not answer, hangup, or mute. Mike (rep) is asking everyone to list their headset model, so that's why I posted this.

Will RingCentral be compatible with the Jabra Speak 510 (Model PH5002W).  Can you make it so that the Jabra can control and the start and end of a call as it can with Lync?

thank you,

Rick Brenner

I would like to request full support for the Jabra 9400 line of headsets. I would like to be able to answer, end and mute calls from the headset when using Ring Central application

New Jabra Pro 9470 headset. Ditto to above. Can hear and talk, but all other functionality doesn't work. Big problem.

I have a Jabra 65 Evolve I've used successfully for a while back when we were on Cisco (and as well with Lync). When we switched to RingCentral, it was sure disappointing to lose the ability to control the phone while walking around. If there is anything RingCentral can do to work with these headsets, it would sure get my vote and support. Asking Jabra the same thing :-)

I wanted to add another comment in favor of having RingCentral Integrate with Jabra. This would be so much more helpful for our office.

We recently purchased the Jabra PRO 9470 NCSA 1.92-1.93 GHz US DECT 6.0.  I had no idea that RingCentral doesn't support answering, ending or muting a call from the Jabra headsets. The whole idea of having a headset is to have range, hands free.  Doesn't work so good if you have to run to your computer to answer, hang up, or mute calls.  We've purchased these headsets for several employees.  My priority would be to pick up and hang up calls.  Hope this issue is actually being worked on now, as some on this thread are 2 years old.

@Denise, yeah crazy, isn't it! We use a Polycomm VVX 500 desk phone with a special Jabra cable for that phone, and the Jabra headset electronically answers and hangs up the phone. Pricy solution but it works. There may be other desk phones that are less expensive that will do that, I don't know.

Has anyone heard any word on this?  I understand the Plantronics headsets work, but we have a bunch of Jabra 9450s around.  Seems like adding device support goes slow.

We are also using the Jabra Pro 9450. I would love to see full support. Being unable to answer a call from the headset is very inconvenient.

I would also like full support for the Jabra 935. Being able to answer and end calls from headset helps a lot as I am frequently away from my desk. Very annoying to run across the office and try to click the answer button. Usually don't make it in time. Thank you for looking into this.

I cannot believe no one from RingCentral is responding to these requests.  I posted 4 months ago. Hello, is anyone there listening?  How many of your customers need to be unhappy before you actually listen?

Hi Denise.  Sorry, our Product Team does not have the ability to respond to every feature request on the Community, but I'm in frequent contact with them, and this is something they are working on.  I'll try to find an ETA if/when we'll have a list of recommended devices.

Meanwhile, for any other viewers, if you have tested any device and you find that it works well, please post the make & model here for other users.

Thanks!
Mike

Mike, there have been many, many, many requests over the YEARS for softphone answer and hang-up from Jabra Pro 9470 headsets, and occasionally we get this same response, which is frustrating. RingCentral has great features, but this is really lacking.

You can use it but can't answer or hang up directly from headset. Has to be done through mouse or keyboard.
