Does anyone know how to get inbound caller ID to not read Wireless and read the number. When a wireless call comes in I see Wireless and not the number. Ringcentral is capturing number because when I hit the "i" for info I can retrieve? ? any suggestions?

Hello Michael,

Your account does have Inbound caller ID so you should be seeing the number when it comes in. What device are you answering the call on, desktop phone, softphone, or mobile app?

Michael can you take a screenshot of the app. I need to see exactly what it is showing. Regardless of your caller ID setting or the caller ID settings of the person calling, you should always see the phone number of the caller unless they have blocked their number.

Caller ID or CNAM is just related to the name that displays along with the phone number. Again the phone number should always be showing unless the caller is blocking it. The screenshot should show me why it is not working as it should.

Make sure to blank out any personal data on the screenshot.

Thanks!

Hello Michael,

Thanks for the info. My apologies. I guess that the phone number does not display on incoming calls to the mobile app. It should be displaying on the desktop app and the deskphone when the call is ringing in.

When you look at the call log for the call on the desktop app only shows the caller ID not the number. You have to click on the info button to find it as I am sure you have figured out based on your screenshots.

We are going to move this questions over to a feature request to add the ability to see the phone number in the call logs of the mobile app and desktop app and to see the phone number when calls hit the mobile app while it is ringing.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Mobile app: see what phone number isbeing called when an incoming call comes in.

I'm posting on behalf of a customer experiencing below issues in his mobile application (iOS)

Version: 8.2.0.1.35 (44.2.5).

#1: List of iPhone contacts no longer visible in“Add to Existing Contact” view.

Bug (appeared sinceprevious version):

In the list of phonecalls or faxes or whatever, suppose there is a new number not in the Contacts. Then click “Add to Existing Contact.” However, the list of iPhone Contacts isno longer visible. In the previous version they were visible and you could edityour iPhone contacts.

Note *** IMPORTANT ***

I am absolutely gladthat the app is not uploading my contacts. That is definitely excellent; Idon’t want my contacts uploaded to the cloud; and please never make that happenby default!

#2: I would like to see what phone number isbeing called when an incoming call comes in. I have multiple numbers, and Ianswer based on which number is being called. The desktop app shows the number. The mobile app does not.
