Will the RingCentral iPhone app be updated for ios10?

iOS 10 has new features for voip apps like allowing voip calls to be integrated with Siri and allow voip calls to be answered from the lock screen like a normal cellular call, which would be far more natural.

This is my biggest issue with the ring central iPhone app: it's awkward when calls ring in (there is no way to change the ring tone for incoming ring central calls. I miss a lot of calls because the ringtone is a xylophone and I sometimes can hear it) and when cellular calls come in, they interrupt the voip call, which is jarring when I'm on the phone.

I hope these issues are fixed and improved soon.
Thanks!

Here it is worse, I have lost the incoming ring and now have just a message that dings like a text message for an incoming call and it is gone, still can open the app manually....

Hi George, This isl likely a big concern for lots of iOS users. We'll do our best to get more info on this.  We agree, it would be really nice if users could customize ringtones for the mobile app.

All I get now is a ding, the notification message on the screen, swipe to message and NO ringing or anything at all.  Living on data only with this device, using it like a tablet - with no line to forward to, this sucks.

so wish I didnt upgrade and wish I didnt get an iphone at all now. - going to find options to dump iPhone or find another way to make this work, and would hate to have to go elsewhere if RC doesn't fix this.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled iOS 10 - RC App does not ring anymore.

How to get the app to ring now? I can't hear it when someone calls. All it does is the simple notification message ding (once) and the message to swipe at the top of the screen.  I do not care where it is, but I can't hear it.  Used to be a chord style Xylophone but now its just a notification ding message.  I am missing all kinds of calls now.

i made this separate on purpose as: . 1) i have no ring tone at all from the app just a ding. - so not the same. 2) the response of location of the app coming up is of no concern to me. (top middle bottom is all the same as long as it comes up. i am missing calls due to only a ding. this needs to be fixed
asap or i am going to find a new service / app

Hi George we realize this is an issue for users and we've already reported this to our Product Team.  Sorry we don't have an immediate fix for this but we'll update this thread as soon as we have more information.

We moved this post here in order to organize all iOS related issues into a single thread so all comments are seen by our product team.

Mike, I am still having this issue with the Office@Hand app. The RIngCentral app was updated however the AT&T version was not. I met some of your folks at Reinvent this week and they recommended I post this here. Please advise the timeline with this. Thanks!

Hi Victor,  Can you clarify exactly which issue you are having, as there are several things mentioned above?

Yes! If what's app can use the new phone API to be able to except calls from the lock screen, I'm sure ring central can do it too! Please do this ASAP!

I haven't found a post about my issue which is it doesn't ring at all unless the app is open and the screen is active. And when calls do come in and the phone was asleep the call ends upon answering. I turned callkit off and it doesn't fix it.

Hi Joseph,  That does indeed sound like a different, perhaps unique issue you are having. The app should still ring without you having to open and with an active screen.  Can you please open a case and  in the notes let them know the use/login details so they can check the configuration and escalate if necessary.
