Glip's [code] widget forbids <script> tag from being included, making sharing code snippets that contain <script> tag impossible without modifying the original content.  This modification sometimes introduces miscommunication.  Please allow the script tag!  We've been waiting for this support for several years.

Please don't implement <script> tag embedding, but do allow completely escaped content within the code tag. Sometimes sharing diff patches (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patch_%28Unix%29) is necessary and inserting within a code block attempts to parse strings that end in an extension as a website (e.g., 'friendly.pl') and @@ is impossible to insert without @-mentioning someone who didn't need to be @-mentioned.

  1. Account type: U.S.
  2. A brief description of the business: software development and services
  3. A high level description of the product or feature being requested: see desc above.  Just don't want Glip to prevent me from pasting <script> into [code] widget; anathema!
  4. A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature: sharing a snippet with a colleague without having to change it to <clams> or <fixscript> before posting
  5. Benefit of such feature: safety and convenience of something we do day in and day out
  6. Include any related case number if applicable: 20607 I suppose
  7. Number of Users and/or Digital Lines: 100+

+1 to this incredibly useful and common sense feature. We need to be able to share code snippets verbatim without interference from the tool we are using to communicate., else miscommunication is inevitable.
