I wanted to to see if we can make it so that we record all outbound calls EXCEPT in the states that require two party consent? There are like 10 or 11. Can you add that functionality?
Actually, there are 12: California Connecticut Florida Hawaii Illinois Maryland Massachusetts Montana Nevada New Hampshire Pennsylvania Washington
My opinion - Since laws change often, even within the 12 states that require two-party consent, I personally believe that this won't be something that RingCentral will look at add to their system. Additionally, since new area codes are constantly being added to ALL states, it would require too many updates to keep current, along with any law changes.
Since the concern about this is regarding the outbound calls your company is making, personnel training is the much easier solution. When making calls to Florida, for example, DO NOT record the call. Simple enough.
Right now there are far too many basic functions, which have been documented in these forums for several years, that need work by RingCentral....this is functionality I just don't see them making. While it's admirable to make the suggestion, I'm just saying that I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for this type of functionality.
