Wish to be able to do this without additional cost of adding a digital line and buying an adaptor to make our old fax machine capable of working with the service. We don't fax RC extensions often enough to justify that cost, it should be part of the service we already pay for.

You can set up an extension (without a DID number), therefore no cost, and then they can fax either through the web portal or RC fax server.

They cannot fax to an extension through the web portal or RC fax sever though from what I have been told. Only from a physical fax machine.

Sorry, I'm a little dense I guess.  Are you wanting to send a fax to a co-worker, by using their extension number?

Part of the issue is that fax is external. Even the soft fax goes to a software fax that looks for a phone number. Is there a reason why you cannot send the image to your colleague? What you are asking for is not an option with any fax that I know of. Unless it is hard wired to a PBX in house and then I have faxed from analog line to analog line. I do it now with a did for each fax. Only solution I could find.
