Incoming Call Notification Pop Up Hijacks Cursor: Ring Central Desktop App Needs to Use Windows Notification Feature for Incoming Call Notifications

Currently, whenever my Sales Center receives a simultaneous call, the Ring Central incoming call notification completely takes over everyone's computer. By this I mean if someone is typing an email, entering an order, etc, the Ring Central App will remove the cursor from whatever they are doing. Not being professional typers, they are often looking down at the keyboard while typing and will not notice that they are not typing anything at all. This is hurting efficiency and productivity. Other phone systems we have used in the past have used the Windows Notifications (bottom right pop ups) for incoming calls, and does not hijack the cursor. The other option would be to continue to have the current incoming call notification, but make sure it doesn't hijack everyone's cursor every time a call comes in.

Hi Jared,

See if disabling this option will help your Users:

This does stop the Desktop App from hijacking the cursor; however, it removes the pop-up notification for incoming calls. The idea is to have the notification itself not hijack the cursor, not just eliminate the notification pop up completely.

Edit: This is where using the Windows Notification would come in handy. The user would still receive an incoming call notification, and his or her cursor would not be hijacked.

This needs to get upvoted. Have a call center with the exact same problem. Seem to be a basic feature with other providers.
