Being limited to sending Group Voicemails to an email only, should be updated to allow for sending Group Voicemails to Multiple extensions.  Some users may not have access to email when in remote locations such as mines.

+1

This would be extremely valuable to us so we can inform employees.  Especially during weather and contingencies.

Yes how can we set call queue voicemails to be sent to multiple extensions?

If you would like to have voicemails sent to multiple people, currently the only way is to have multiple email addresses listed in the notification settings for the queue. Go to the queue and select "Messages & Notifications", then select "Notification"s at the bottom of the list. There you can input up to 240 characters of email addresses separated by semicolons.
There's some more information on this feature on the page Editing a User's Messages & Notifications Settings through the RingCentral Online account.

is it possible to have the voicemail sent to the user's mailbox instead of being emailed to them?

They system already does this. As a User, just click Messages > Inbox and you'll see the playback icon shown below.

i'm not sure i set it up correctly then.  i created a message only extension and added email addresses as message notfications.  what i would like to do is leave one voicemail to multiple extensions simultaneously.

This is not something the accounts can do currently, you can only select one recipient for voicemail on each extension. The only way around this would be inputting multiple addresses in the email notification option or providing multiple people the login information for an extension.
There is a bit more information on Messages & Notifications settings on our Messages & Notifications Overview page.

If the feature to send a voicemail to multiple extensions would be valuable to you, you can vote for this idea by clicking the "♡ vote" button in the top of this page.

I am surprised that multiple desktop phones (and voicemail boxes) can't be notified of a message waiting in a general mailbox or a message only extension. I need all my staff to see when their is a message waiting in mailbox that anyone can take care of.

yes being able to send to multiple emails is great, but having them physically visible at multiple phones would be great.

Group Mailboxes has always been a feature from physical PBX systems like Avaya IP Office. The Desktop phones can display messages waiting indicators from multiple users that are apart of these groups. This simple feature is a show stopper for alot of businesses coming from Avaya or Nortel systems.

Ring central please add this feature!

Having a way for everyone in the call group to access the voicemails and "claim" them would be very helpful. Basically, tell the other team memebers "I got this".  This would also be great if extended to txt support to work the same way for incoming txt's that can be claimed.

This would be a very useful feature for us. For example, we have multiple agents who handle order inquiry requests. Ideally, these agents would be able to log in to a shared voicemail box so we know who is handling what call. Definitely an upvote from us on this feature!

Can't believe this has not been incorporated yet. As another user indicated, the is a show stopping feature for enterprises coming over from just about any other major phone provider.  I personally regret implementing RC on account of this alone, everything else being just fine.  Please consider this for the roadmap in the very near feature.

Agree fully with other users, this is something that would not only be useful but really surprised that Ring Central can't already do, as it seems such a basic and essential feature which is missing. Might need to look around to find another service which does offer this.

having the voicemail at multiple phones would be nice, also having the email wav file sent to multiple emails would also be helpful (unless you can just add a comma between emails in notifications to make that part happen)

Good instinct Chris. You can add up to 240 characters of email addresses, separated by semicolons, to the notification settings.

But as I understand it, this is just for the notification. The actual voicemail isn't emailed in the notification email- so you would still need to log in. Is that still the case?  I need either to have a Voicemail go to multiple extensions, OR, have it go to one email that includes the actual content of the message in wav or mp3 form. Is there really no way to do this?

thats the way it looks to me as well, the notice of a voicemail will be send to multiple people but the actual message is only at 1 place. hopefully someone can straighten this out for us.

If you do not have HIPAA enabled on your account, you can specify to have the attached voicemail sent in the email.

Under Messages & Notifications select Settings -> Edit (under Notifications)

Select Customize Notifications

Make sure to check the box above - this will include the attached voicemail in the email to your multiple recipients.

Not only do we need to have multiple extensions have access to a group mailbox, we need to have notification appear on the phone itself.  This is a PHONE SYSTEM, not an email system.  In addition to this feature on Nortel and Avaya, it was also readily available on Inter-tel/MiTel. I'm shocked I can't have that feature on what is supposed to be a business class system.  It's clearly not there yet, as it can't even stand up to decades old systems.

Totally Agree, this is not an email system. To simply say check an email address is not acceptable. Many business that I see still use the phone as major communication tool, and in 2018 I just assume a Cloud based system can do everything an on premise system can do and more!

This is critically important for our business. I have up-voted. Please implement this ASAP. I cannot believe all my agents cannot share/retrieve messages from a main call line VM box from their RingCentral phone Apps.

Can a board mod combine this with the other recent thread from this morning i believe these are asking for the same thing, and combine the votes so we can keep an accurate tally. Hopefully more people will also see this thread and comment and vote because having the message appear at multiple phones is available now on old school PBXs it should be here as well.

I agree with James above. I am setting up a new RingCentral account and just got bit by this. It doesn't make any sense that you can't do this somehow.

Only thing I've been able to do to mitigate this issue (and that's the best I can say - mitigate), is to set up multiple email accounts to receive the message.  It still doesn't get the message in everyone's message queue on the phone or in the Ring Central App, but at least they get an email.

That is what we do, but on Apple Mail the attachment doesn't work and the text is jumbled pretty bad so it's about worthless.

I cannot fathom why this is still an issue after 3 years!  I'm new to RC and am extremely frustrated by the lack of this very basic feature.

Yep, 3 years later, still waiting on this.  The lack of company response is supremely frustrating and one of the reasons I'm thinking of moving to a different provider.

Not at this time, Jeff. Our Product Team is working on a face lift for Call Queues for next year. I have shared this request with them. If they ever decide to put it on the roadmap I'll be sure to update this thread. But as it stands now, there are no plans for this request in the near future.

RingCentral have a pretty good product but the technical support is poor and product requests have sat here for years with no implementation.
My most recent issue was incorrect report data not matching our call log history the final response from RingCentrals senior technical team was 'we cannot resolve the issue' it was marked as a 'product known issue'...

Losing hope here...
