Sidecar Capabilities

Currently our sidecars provide a quick and easy way for my Admin team to transfer calls or see when someone is on their line...BUT, it would be great, if when we update information (i.e., add or remove an employee), it automatically updates.

This doesn't even happen on desk phones. I think if you go through the phone's menu and choose Update Configuration it will pull the new names though.

I'm speaking of the desk phones because they're linked.  So, some of the names are on the desk phones themselves and run over to the side car.

I completely agree, Yalonda!
Not only do I wish the empty line would push up the lines that were behind the one removed, but I'd also love the capability of more than one sidecar. We're a firm of 130-ish people and as bad as TPx was, at least we were able to use two sidecars. RingCentral only limits us to one and for that reason I still have to keep up with a stupid extension sheet for everyone that doesn't fit on the sidecar.
Seems like a very small tweak on RingCentral's end, but the fact remains.

Unfortunately, the reboot doesn't do anything unless you go into the portal and physically move things around first.

Very clever idea - so you’re suggesting that the admins should have the ability to force deploy the sidecar configuration out to users. I like that!!

I wasn't, but that would be great.  We are the only 3 people that have them, but it would be great if one of us goes in and updates the new or remove the old employees and it pushes it out to the other two.  Great idea!!!

What it also doesn't do is alphabetize automatically.
