I set up an Unconditional Forwarding rule on the main number to forward directly to a separate land line number. After the caller dials and is waiting to connect, the caller does not hear the normal ring tone. Instead it's kind of a magic wand sound (for lack of a better description). Is there a way to have the caller hear normal ring tones while connecting via an Unconditional Forwarding rule?

Hmmm. I tried forwarding to a different number and then the normal ring tones were heard. It must be related to the receiving end.

I think you are correct. That sounds like a ring tone on the receiving end.
