Voicemail email attachment types (mime type) | RingCentral Support Community

Could you please provide the list of available attachment file types(and mime types) for Voicemail email notifications?
Usually, we receive the mp3 file with audio/mpeg mime type. But recently we received an application/octet-stream attachment which was rejected because of security reasons.

I have not seen this before. Can you please open a support case and include the samples/attachments, times, dates, etc. so we can look into this?

It would appear that all voicemails after 12/15 have changed to a content_type application/octet-stream. They were previously a <code>audio/mpeg which is a regular audio type. This creates an issue playing voicemails as it is noted to avoid using application/octet-stream as special handling will not be possible: most browsers do not allow defining a default behavior (like "Opening in Word") for this generic MIME type.The issue is most browser types
