I have an API workflow that updates an IVR with text….. I have found it does not like a dash, a comma, and now something else but idk what…. It takes the text but doesn’t update the audio on the prompt.

Is there some docs somewhere that says what's acceptable and what's not? I have modified this 3 times over 6 months because it just stops working…...

I don’t have the specs for you. But I can tell you that the comma “,” is used for a pause. E.g. "Press 0 for support ,, Press 1 for billing,, etc.

I recommend you not to use symbol or sign character as the playback text. Your last example is the best way to set the playback text i.e “Press star to return to the main menu. Or press pound to hear this information again”. And not “Press * to return to the main menu. Or press # to hear this information again”
