Chrome extension does not stop ringing!!! Please Helps!!!

Why does the ring central Chrome extension sometime just start ringing with ABSOLUTELY no way to end it. There is no call coming in so there is nothing for me to hang up on. It would just ring for ever if I didnt either sign out and sign back in or uninstall the chrome extension and then re install. Why is this happening??
