Has anybody out there had experience with converting from a free Glip instance to a full, paid, RingCentral implementation? I'm curious as to whether they were able to transfer your users/conversations/teams intact or whether you needed to start over from scratch.

Thanks,

Keith

Hey Keith,

I checked with a Glip specialist. She advised that
When they sign into Glip using their RingCentral information it should recognize that their email address is already on a Glip only account and sync it to their RingCentral account. That way they get to keep all of their information.

 Hi Jessica,

Thanks for the info.  It's interesting because that isn't the message that I've heard relayed from our project team about our implementation of RingCentral telephony and paid Glip.  Their message seemed to be more along the lines that specific teams could be migrated upon request but that IMs and potentially other info wouldn't get migrated.

Glip is a great little tool but it seems like there's a bit of a gap between the info one gets from "Glip" people and what you hear from the "RingCentral" side of the house - as mentioned in my other recent posting about "free" Glip.

Thanks!

Keith

Hi Jessica,

Just to let you know - it appears as though the process of switching from Free to Paid Glip worked exactly as you said.  Thanks for the info!

Keith
